Sean “Diddy” Combs and Liz Claiborne Inc. announce late yesterday the purchase of fashion label ENYCE by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Founded in 1996, Enyce is a denim based sportswear brand offering knits, wovens, outerwear, and graphic tees for men and boys, as well as a successful “Big and Tall” and women’s line. Liz Claiborne purchased Enyce in 2003. Both companies will work together to ensure a smooth and orderly transition for retail partners, vendors and employees. Founder and CEO of Sean John, Sean “Diddy” Combs said, “Enyce is a brand that I have always admired, and they have been a very important player in the young men’s sportswear arena for over a decade. I am really excited to bring it into our portfolio of brands that already includes Sean John and Zac Posen. Looking at Ataui Deng you probably immediately think Alek Wek. That's because this 17-year-old is Alek's niece! And she's already making quite an impression. Born in Sudan, Deng came to New York from Texas just weeks before New York Fashion Week and signed with Trump Model Management. Then she went directly into fittings for Proenza Schouler and Zac Posen. But when Fashion Week ended in New York, Deng flew back to Texas to finish off her semester at high school, skipping Fashion Weeks in Europe. But those select appearances were enough to make an impression on Steven Meisel, who personally requested to see the stunner for himself. We hear V magazine is requesting her for spreads, too. Turns out Alek isn't the only one in her family graced with model genes.”

Beyonce recently sat with InStyle Magazine for their November cover feature, where in which she revealed her fashion and beauty secrets.

On her latest look:
“I was going to do the shorter hair [for her new album] that I had when I performed with Tina Turner at the Grammys earlier this year, which I loved. But I’ve decided to wear my hair straight instead. I’ve had so many different hairstyles, and I don’t want this project to be about my hair. With my makeup, I was doing a lot of liquid liner before. Now I’m into a gold smoky eye and natural-tone lip.”

On her favorite designers:
“Alexander McQueen and Jean Paul Gaultier are two designers I love right now. Their clothes are feminine, sexy and modern. I just went to the Giuseppe Zanotti showroom, and he had the most spectacular shoes. It was like being in a candy store—I was obsessed with every shoe! Right now, I love anything with a high platform.”

On her obsession with Chanel:
I am obsessed with vintage Chanel jewelry. I once bought all the Chanel pieces that were on display at an antiques store in New York.

MTB4 SEASON FINALE

After much speculation, Diddy dropped a bombshell on MTB 4 season finale, giving both ebony & ivory, D. Woods & Aubrey O’day their pink slips. Aubrey was in the building meanwhile D. Woods opted out due to "other obligations." Diddy broke down his reasoning for kicking the ladies out. hearing a ll three sides of the story - from the remaining girls, Aubrey and Puff himself - do you think the outcome of kicking both ladies out the group was to harsh? I have to admit... Aubrey is a problem child. She’s always been the out spoken and obnoxious one out the bunch -and that Complex cover editorial wasnot a good look-for her or Danity Kane. But after all, there is always one.

D.Woods was clearly kicked out by default. She did state she wasn’t happy. However, NONE of the girls were happy. You didn’t ask all of them-you just asked her. It appeared as if she was guilty by association. Do you think he is making the girls into a gimmick rather than a successful group? What did you think of Aubrey's outburst?

I HATE THAT I LOVE HER...

It’s been a minute since I did a post on Rihanna. But when I saw her on the red carpet at the 2008 Spirit Of Life Award Dinner honoring Doug Morris in Santa Monica last night I couldn't resist. Rihanna looked so HAUTE in a red hot silk strapless two-piece Monique Lhuillier Resort 2009 number with black stilletos. Thank God her stylist did something with her hair! It has been looking a mess lately.

JAY-Z AND THE RETURN OF DJ AM...

Jay Z (who from what it seems, will never retire) was the entertainment at last night's Grand Reopening of LA’s Palladium. He was joined by a host of celbrities including DJ AM, who performed his first paid gig since surviving that horrific plane crash last month.

BEYONCE HITS UP TRL

A fresh faced Mrs. Carter stopped by MTV’s TRL this week to promote her new album I Am along with her 2 new singles. She also confirmed the album will be a double disc collection including Beyoncé (pop) and her alter-ego Sasha (urban). The discs will feature production from Jim Jonsin, Rodney Jerkins, Bangladesh and Sean “The Pen” Garret, among others. I Am…will hit shelves on November 18th. A DVD including video from the album will hit shelves in 2009. Beyonce plans to head on an international tour in 2009 in support of I Am… The tour is slated to kick off in Canada in April and will include stops in the U.S., Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and South America.

T.I. REMAINS THE KING OF THE BILLBOARD CHARTS

For the second week in a row, T.I. remains at the top of Billboard’s Chart’.

Paper Trail scanned 176,700 discs this week, pushing its total to 746,000 copies.

Jennifer Hudson comes in at number 4 this week dropping 2 spots with 61,207 copies sold this week.

Ne-Yo’s Year of The Gentleman comes in at number 8 this week pushing 47,166 copies.

NO SURPRISES HERE | LIL' WAYNE LEADS IN AMA NOMS

The American Music Awards will air November 23rd at 8pm on ABC and it looks like Lil Wayne leads the pack being nominated for 3 awards including Artist Of The Year, Favorite Male Artist as well as Favorite Album-Rap/Hip-Hop” for his “Tha Carter III.” In that last category, Weezy goes up against Kanye West (”Graduation”) and Jay-Z (”American Gangster”). Instead of walking Yves Saint Laurent yesterday, Lily Donaldson took a seat front row — after the first look came out. The house's Fall face Naomi Campbell was also in attendance, and "hooted and hollered" when Chanel Iman appeared on the runway.

JOURDAN DUNN’S FIRST BRITISH VOGUE COVER

Jourdan Dunn is doing the damn thing.

After starring as one of the cover girls on the ground breaking Vogue Italia ‘A Black Issue’ and beating up virtually every runway this season - the British beauty now appears on the cover of Vogue UK.

Despite the fact she shares the cover with Eden Clark and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, it’s a start. And major news.

The last black model to be featured on the cover of Vogue UK was Naomi Campbell in 2002. (Naomi was right about now being able to retire.)

T.I. "COMES CLEAN" FOR GIANT MAG

T.I. graces the cover of the October/November 2008 issue of Giant Magazine. In his cover article, he talks about his new Paper Trail album, voting, making mistakes and more!

In other T.I. news... preliminary reports show that his Paper Trail album will debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard albums chart. According to early sales figures, it is on track to move 550,000 copies in its first week!

OBAMA COVERS VIBE MAG

Barack Obama appears on the cover of the November issue of Vibe magazine. In it is a letter from the Democratic presidential candidate - where in which he addresses the members of the urban community.

Obama urges blacks to register to vote. “I can’t do it alone. I need you,” he says.

This issue marks the first time in history that the leading lifestyle publication has ever formally endorsed a Presidential nominee.

The issue will be available on newsstands nationwide on October 21st.

Tom Ford sat down with Time to explain why his menswear line is so great. And he brought along one of his customers to back him up: Karl Lagerfeld. "It's made differently and ready-to-wear," Karl says. "This quality didn't [used to] exist. You had to fit 40 times before you had a suit. Something I hate is to be touched by strangers." But Karl loves how the arm holes in Tom's suits are cut close to the body so when you raise an arm, the arm "follows your will, but not the jacket." He adds jackets that do that are "for the garbage." Tom says he started his own line with menswear because he couldn't find anything to wear. "Tom is not a drag queen — he started with men's clothes because he wanted clothes for him," Karl emphasizes. And of course, Tom insists on flattering Karl, too. Watch the love on video below. SESSILEE MIXES THINGS UP AT GIRBAUD

We were more than disappointed with Milan's all white runways. So we're glad designers are mixing it up in Paris. Sessilee Lopez opened up the Marithé et François Girbaud show yesterday morning, after walking Vivienne Westwood the night before. (We've also spotted Hollis, Arlenis and Chanel. And not that we don't love Jourdan, but one gorgeous girl of color per runway just doesn't cut it).

Anyway, the audience summed up the clothes on MFG's runway. Front row-ers channeled their best street style vibes mixed with a little bit of girly and lots of denim.

There was one dress we're pretty sure you could make out of a pillowcase.
