Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn appear on the cover of Teen Vogue's November issue. They ooze love and good vibrations for one another. Nothing's better than two perfect-looking young women loving each other on the cover of a teen magazine! But their friendship saw a dark day. A dark, jealous, competitive day.

"I could sit here and tell you, 'I love Jourdan! We've always been the best of friends!'" she says. "But we haven't. Until recently, we barely even spoke. We went from being superclose in the beginning," she says, "to dead silence if we saw each other backstage at a show." Not even a hello? "If we did say hi, it was hi, and that's it."

For that bastion of friendship and warm fuzzies that is the fashion industry came between them, if you can imagine. Jourdan explains that black models are pitted against each other because there are so few jobs for them. Many labels are only looking for one black girl at castings. Jourdan says, "People will say things in Chanel's ear like, 'Jourdan is taking your spot,' and then they'll say to me, 'Don't trust Chanel.'"

runway: JEAN PAUL GAULTIER'S BABY-BUMP PAD FOR JOURDAN DUNN

Jean Paul Gaultier dressed 19-year-old model Jourdan Dunn's baby bump in a brown padded dome for his spring 2010 show over the weekend in Paris. If we were Hollywood starlets, we'd wear one all the time: gain weight, hide it, and keep the tabloids guessing! And when you're not pregnant, you can just hide things in there. Like Goldfish and coconut water. Yes, this show was all aboutpracticality.

A PREGNANT JOURDAN DUNN WILL HIT THE RUNWAY

Model Jourdan Dunn's comp card is included in Women modeling agency's show package for the spring 2010 season. This means the 19-year-old is hitting the casting circuit, even though she's five months pregnant with her boyfriend's child (word is she's having a boy). Oh, models. She must barely be showing, if at all. Like Gisele. We look forward to seeing her work it next week!

I-D FIRST FASHION MAGAZINE TO SHOWCASE WOMEN OF COLOR ON SEPTEMBER 2009 ISSUE

The "major surprise cover" and "major moment in fashion" Sessilee Lopez and Chanel Iman both teased in April is finally here: They are joined by Arlenis Sosa Pena and Jourdan Dunn on the September 2009 cover of i-D, photographed by Emma Summerton, styled by Edward Enninful, marking the first (and so far only) major fashion magazine to go with women of color for their September issue this season.

MODEL JOURDAN DUNN IS PREGNANT

Jourdan Dunn, the 19-year-old British model, who won Best Model at last year's British Fashion Awards, is pregnant. Not just pregnant, but five and a half months along pregnant (she's due in December). Of course, when Vogue announced the news, they use it not as a platform for a discussion of society's attitude toward teen pregnancy, but rather an outlet to pick out designer maternity clothes for her, yay! Jourdan has been with her boyfriend for several years and the couple are eagerly anticipating the baby’s arrival. "Jourdan is delighted and really excited,” a spokesperson for her agency, Storm, said.

She should have plenty of money to take care of a kid after the impressive career she's had so far. Sadly, she'll probably be absent from Fashion Week in September. Tyra Banks better book Dunn for her talk show. Oprah would be better, but we'll take what we can get.

LIYA KEBEDE LANDS VOGUE'S MAY COVER

The May cover of Vogue is special because it features models instead of celebrities. This year's May issue, shot by Steven Meisel, is extra special because it marks the third month in a row that a woman of color appears on the cover (Beyoncé appeared on April's cover, Michelle Obama appeared on March's cover). Liya Kebede appears on the front of the May issue, while Jourdan Dunn appears on the foldout.From left to right, the models are: Liya Kebede, Natalia Vodianova, Anna Jagodzinska, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Jourdan Dunn, Raquel Zimmermann, Caroline Trentini, and Natasha Poly.

i-D, TIMES TWELVE!

Leave it to i-D to outdo previous multi-cover mags; this month, the British book has twelve (yes, twelve) different covers to celebrate the Best of British issue. From icons like Twiggy, Kate and Naomi to newbies like Jourdan Dunn, Alice Dellal, and Daisy Lowe, bevies of lovely Brits grace the glossy, along with some words of wisdom from Agyness Deyn.

JOURDAN DUNN’S FIRST BRITISH VOGUE COVER

Jourdan Dunn is doing the damn thing.

After starring as one of the cover girls on the ground breaking Vogue Italia ‘A Black Issue’ and beating up virtually every runway this season - the British beauty now appears on the cover of Vogue UK.

Despite the fact she shares the cover with Eden Clark and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, it’s a start. And major news.

The last black model to be featured on the cover of Vogue UK was Naomi Campbell in 2002. (Naomi was right about now being able to retire.)

ANOTHER MOMENTOUS OCCASSION...

Vivienne Westwood debuted her new Red Label collection last week at London Fashion Week. I particularly loved everything about it. Often times designers fail as the try to convey the great drapy-sexy clothes thatWestwood pulls off - which is why she is an Icon of modern design and fashion. The lady herself lacks no spunk of her own, showing major leg on her salute with model Jourdan Dunn who is making such a name for herself. Firstwalking with Naomi - now this. Rock.

NAOMI AND JOURDAN WALK TOGETHER

A TINGLE went up the spines of London's front row yesterday at the Issa show when fashion history was made on the catwalk.

After a show which featured some of the modeling world's biggest names, it felt like the changing of the guard when, after an all-white finale, designer Daniella Issa Helayel walked down her catwalk with Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn to close the show.

"Words can't describe how it felt to walk down the catwalk with the Daniella and Naomi," an elated Jourdan said backstage after the show. "I want to relive it all."

JOURDAN DUNN DOES VIRGIN MOBILE CAPE TOWN FASHION WEEK

Jourdan Dunn's passport just got one more stamp: Over the weekend she was in South Africa where she headlined Cape Town Fashion Week. She had a photocall for the event on Friday, and she closed out the week as part of the Virgin Mobile Finale in a special-made dress by local designer David Tlale.

The biggest feat of all and what's truly great to see is fashion finally (yes, finally!) embracing different kinds of beauty. First Italian Vogue, now this. Let's see if a mainstream American publication will take the hint next..

A little news to whet your appetite for Topshop's imminent Soho arrival: Jourdan Dunn will star in the brand's fall campaign. "Topshop on the move" is the all-too-appropriate theme of the ads, which were shot on London buses and tube trains. For those of you who aren't familiar with Jourdan...
