feature: JAY-Z IN INTERVIEW MAGAZINE FEBRUARY 2010

Hate it or love it, Jay-Z is at the top of his game, and is currently the most respected Hip Hop artist in the industry. Not only is he the most respected, he is also the most successful rapper. It was recently reported by Forbes that he and his wife Beyonce Knowles were Hollywood’s Top-Earning couple with combined earnings of $122 million. Everyone can agree 2009 was a good year for Jay-Z and so far, 2010 looks just as promising. With a hit record (Empire State of Mind ft. Alicia Keys) still burning up the charts, the 40 year old rapper seems to be taking his career to new heights.

Interview Magazine sat down with the rapper for their February 2010 Issue. The feature  has just been released online and you can read it here.

Rihanna rocks the pages of the W magazine's February 2010 issue. Poised in a cotton Gucci dress with sexy cut-outs, she was captured by Craig McDean and styled by Lori Goldstein for the cover feature. Here’s an excerpt of what she had to say:

On the best part of her day: “When I’m with my glam team getting my hair and makeup done—we talk so much s—!”

On her fashion sense: “My stylist Mariel Haenn and I always try to do something sexy but never too girly—we always try to put a little toughness in there.”

On never once wishing herself back in Barbados, living a quiet life: “Oh no, I never fantasize about that. Because if I were back there, I know I’d be fantasizing about all this.”

'PRECIOUS' STAR GABOUREY SIBIDE COVERS V MAG SIZE ISSUE

Previews of V magazine's size issue have leaked, and finally a glimpse of the covers are out. The issue appears to have two separate cover girls of two very different sizes. One features breakout star from the movie 'Precious,' Gabourey Sidibe (pictured left)  and the other, Dakota Fanning. As with the spreads that have leaked so far from the issue, the covers are also lacking a model to bridge the size extremes.

Lindsay Lohan landed not only the cover but eighteen pages inside the magazine for a spread inspired by Johnny Depp and Kate Moss's relationship, shot by Yu Tsai. Except Tsai captured not just Lindsay and her Johnny Depp, played by male model Petey Wright, but also threw dancer Sofia Boutella into bed with them. Threesomes and orgies are so hot right now.

VIBE Magazine returnds with a new debut issue which features two covers - one with rapper Drake and the other with Chris Brown. VIBE’s print re-launch will include reduced numbers - four issues for next year (instead of 10 once planned for 2009) - plus 300,000 in circulation compared to 600,000 at the time of it’s shutdown. Therefore you can expect for each issue to be pretty sizable. The return issue hits stands on December 8th.

RIHANNA HAS A DECEMBER GLAMOUR COVER, TOO

Michelle Obama isn't the only one with a December Glamour cover. She shares that honor with Rihanna, who speaks in the magazine about Chris Brown, that photo, and fashion:

In the first two years of my career, there were a lot of restraints on what I could do. I couldn’t wear certain colors of lipstick, like bright pink, dark pink or red; [my lips] had to be natural. Eventually, I stopped communicating with certain people at the label, and did exactly what I wanted to do. And that was to cut my hair, dye it black, change my clothes, change my sound. Really to just express myself ... My hairdresser just said, “I don’t feel like doing your hair anymore — I want to cut it.” I was like, Finally!

In other words, she became a diva.
