FLY KICKS | KANYE WEST FOR LOUIS VUITTON

The Kanye West sneakers for Louis Vuitton will be hitting stores in June and today we can for the first time get a good overview of the line-up and especially get a closer look at the numerous high top sneakers that are part of the collaboration. The high tops come in both colorful variations and more subtle black and white tones, making the line overall very well balanced.

Lil Wayne recently pushed back the release date for his upcoming rock album "Rebirth" from April 7th to May 19th, however, his “Prom Queen” video was recently shot and now you can get a sneak peek. In the teaser, Wayne is shown singing on stage as his band rocks the crowd In related news, Lil Wayne’s new album, Tha Carter III, recently past the three million copies sold mark. The 3x platinum album was 32 on last weeks sales charts as it sold another 16,543 copies.

Marc Jacobs’ work within his Marc by Marc line has the New York-based designer focusing on heavy garment layering, highlighting a wide range of textiles that includes argyle, corduroy, tweed, and even velvet. Taking a spin off all your thrift shop favorites, the collection does well in combining a vintage technique into contemporary designs, in essence allowing for an endless amount of stylish combinations with a timeless, luxurious look.

Gourmet knows how to take luxury to new ends. Their latest collaboration with jeweler Christian Tse has returned with this big ticket item. One can imagine that during the development of their signature 7 carat faced white diamond digital watch that they simply just kept pouring the diamonds on. When pressed the watch mechanism illuminated the time through the diamond face giving it a very distinct glow. Finished in a stingray-skin strap, the Christian Tse for Gourmet watch is classic bling dopeness.

SPOTTED: BEYONCE ON THE SET OF NEW VIDEO | "IF I WERE A BOY"

Beyonce was spotted yesterday in Harlem, on the set of the video for her new single, If I Were a Boy, rocking a police uniform. New York Post photogs were on scene to capture her as she made a arresting appearance on 119th and Lenox Anenue. Toting a taser and a pair of handcuffs, she was accompanied by her on-screen partner as she descended from the steps of a brownstone and into a patrol car.

MARTIN MARGIELA 'L'INCOGNITO' EYEWEAR

Martin Margiela brings us his first ever pair of sunglasses. They have been made in collaboration with Italian eyewear brand Marcolin. You may have noticed Pharrell wearing them in the Everyone Nose Remix video. L’incognito, is made from a solid piece of Polycarbonate. The lenses mimic the censored bar motif that the house has used in its catalogues and look-books for years.

WHO'S CRAZY FOR GENEVIEVE JONES?

We so are--we want to bring her home. She’s the super-thin New York socialite who began showing up at every high-brow party and red carpet event around Manhattan in the past few years --with that flawless face and superb sense of fashion.

Now normally, socialites are known to just show up at parties and spend major coins but Geneiveve actually has talent and she’s showing the world exactly how much with her new jewelry/handbag collection. The handcrafted collection which can be viewed in its entirety on her website was solely inspired by her travels in Thailand.

As we anxiously await the opening of Colette + Gap on September 6, we managed to get our hands on a few images from the collaborative, star-studded collection. Apparel will include this Gap denim “Dreamer” jacket by Olympia Le Tan, a customized trench by French graffiti artist André (the belt reads "Andre & Colette hearts New York & Paris"), and illustrated collaborative tees by a mix of French and New York artists and brands, among them Genevieve Gauckler, Jean-Philippe Delhomme, Peter Arkle, Claw Money, Miss.Tic, and Clements Ribeiro. New York-based designer Alejandro Ingelmo has made quite a name for himself ever since introducing his metallic sneakers.

Here is the latest line-up of his iconic Hi-Top sneaker. This futuristic style is constructed from top quality materials with a bronze mirrored metallic upper, black leather inner and tongue, black laces and a black rubber sole. The shoe features a lace up fastening with a Velcro strap at the ankle and perforations at the quarter and toe. DOPE

V-MAN'S PASTELLE PREVIEW WITH KANYE, RIHANNA AND LUPE

We've been waiting on Kanye West's fashion line Pastelle for like 2 years now and here is the first glimpse at what's to come... He called on members of his Glow in the Dark Tour crew, Rihanna and Lupe Fiasco, to preview the line in an advertorial spread in the new issue of VMAN Magazine.

The website, Pastelle.com still reads "coming soon" so I guess we'll continue to wait...

THE OLYMPICS, GUCCI STYLE!!!

Virtually every product manager and designer at every brand started making plans for Olympic inspired product, whether official or unsanctioned, years ago. And that list includes brands you would never expect, like Gucci and Prada. While its unlikely that any Olympic athletes will be going for the gold while wearing Gucci, the iconic fashion house is just one of many luxury labels and mass-market brands that have created a wide range of special products to celebrate the 2008 Beijing games.
