event: NIKE FOAMPOSITE DIRTY COPPER COMING TO SNEAKER CON

The biggest swap-meet of sneaker heat and gear is back January 9th, 2010.

After a successful 2009 showing, Sneaker Con is hosting another convention for NYC and Tri-State shoeheads to trade with their fellow man or to show off their latest digs.

Also in attendance will be thirty vendors with serious kicks for you to get your hands on. This year’s crowd rolled over a thousand deep, and this upcoming show is poised to surpass that number and pack the house. Come prepared and dressed to impress, because this convention is not for the meek. We will definitely be in the building. See you there!

NO DEAL FOR DIDDY

Diddy is making headlines just before the year ends. He teamed up with Ciroc Vodka to make a offer to the city of New York to remake the Times Square New Year’s ball - turning it 'Ciroc Blue '- and was willing to donate $1 million to charity if the proposal had been approved. Well after all the publicity he began to set forth, the city shot him down. NO DEAL!

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT SELITA EBANKS NEW HAIRCUT???

Selita Ebanks showed off her new haircut at the screening of Holly at the Hearst Tower in New York last night. I think it looks good on her, and it definitely adds a bit of edge to her. My only gripe is that is that is reminds me a bit of Rihanna’s hair style. What do you think?

JAY-Z, N*E*R*D AND COLDPLAY DO THE PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL

Explosive back-to-back sets by Jay-Z, N*E*R*D, and Coldplay capped the closing day of the inaugural Pemberton Festival, an ambitious weekend long event in a dusty British Columbia (Canada) mountain valley that, minus a few snags, was a tremendous success.

Pharrell continued to spaz and dance around providing one of the most energetic preformances of the festival. And Coldplay never disappoints. There is nothing that can be said about this band that hasn't already been said. With the new album out they had a load of new material with a highlight being the performance of their new single Viva La Vida.

More than 30,000 fans gave a thunderous welcome to Jay-Z, who arrived via helicopter and performed hits like 99 Problems and A Hard Knock Life. "He brought Canada a hip hop show that will be talked about for a while," a fan proclaimed.

"To come up and here and get this much love, don't think I don't appreciate it," Jay-Z declared. "I appreciate each and every one of y'all out there."

KERI HILSON HOSTS LISTENING EVENT

Keri Hilson held a small listening event for her upcoming album, In A Perfect World, earlier this week. I don't know why people sleep on ol' girl becuase she's definitely somebody the game needs to look out for in the future. She's been writing music since 2001 for artists such as Toni Braxton, Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Ciara, the Pussycat Dolls, Avant, Ruben Studdard, Diddy, Ludacris, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger, Omarion, and Timbaland. You know, just to name a few.

In 2007, Hilson has had several appearances on Timbaland's solo effort, Shock Value and was featured on the hit The Way I Are. On Britney Spears' 2007 album Blackout, Hilson is credited as a writer and backing vocalist. Recently, Keri played the lead role in Usher's video for Love in This Club. She was originally on the remix, which she was replaced by Beyonce's version to add a little more star power.

Anywho, definitely be on the lookout. Her debut single which recently leaked, is titled, Energy. She has some hot joints on her album too. At event they played Turn Off featuring Lil' Wayne and that is guaranted to banger. The album officially drops on September 23rd. Check it out her first single, Energy at the link below. Enjoy!!

Expect to see the video premiere of her first single, Official Girl, real soon, as they just wrapped the shoot in LA about a week ago. She gives a special treat - Lil' Wayne jumped on board to bless the single with a few bars of hot fire. He will also appear in the video. I am glad to see her doing big things. As much as I'd like to hate, I can't, becuase she is too damn gorgeous.

Last night, Missy Elliot’s Birthday Bash took place at Marquee in New York City. The Grammy award winning artist turned 37. BET's Julissa Bermudez, Laurie Ann Gibson, and DJ Cassidy were among those who came out to celebrate.
