runway: CONFESSIONS OF A VICTORIA'S SECRET MODEL

I doubt there's any need in saying it but: The Victoria's Secret fashion show airs tonight on CBS. And though the models make it look sexy, fun and easy, it's alot of hard work that even the most professional of models have difficulty with. Each model spends three to five hours in hair and makeup before the show. At least an hour of that time, probably more, is spent on body makeup. Selita Ebanks says it's "all about creating the illusion of this amazing body on the runway":

"People don't realize that there are about 20 layers of makeup on my butt alone."

SNEAK PEEK | VICTORIA SECRET'S FASHION SHOW 2008

The focus of this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was "glamour, sophistication and the return to elegance," said chief costume designer, Todd Thomas. The annual flesh fest was filmed Saturday at the newly renovated Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami. Usher performed twice. Adriana Lima modeled the $5 million, 1,500-karat bra, yes, Selita Ebanks and Noemie Lenoir strapped on some giant wings for a strut, but the highlight for me was seeing Sessille Lopez and Arlenis Sosa Pena take to the runway. TYRA CELEBRATES THE 'VOGUE ITALIA'

It was a pose off today on West 26th street in New York! Tyra Banks held court with the girls of the past and present during a taping of her talk show. Scheduled to air Sept. 11, the episode celebrates Vogue Italia’s All-Black Issue - the first issue of any major international fashion publication featuring black models and content throughout.

Legends like Veronica Webb, Beverly Johnson and Pat Cleveland joined newbies Chanel Iman, Selita Ebanks and Noemie Lenoir for the festivities, where they posed for pictures. The beautiful bunch commemorated the historic event by holding up black balloons that they later realeased during a NYC street party.

Selita Ebanks showed off her new haircut at the screening of Holly at the Hearst Tower in New York last night. I think it looks good on her, and it definitely adds a bit of edge to her. My only gripe is that is that is reminds me a bit of Rihanna’s hair style. What do you think?
