Jay Z is rocking the cover of the May 2011 issue of Delta Airlines in-flight SKY magazine.

Inside the issue, he opens up about his New York Times bestseller’s book Decoded, his success, failure, and lessons learned in life.

“It may sound a little arrogant, but I just think people can’t handle when somebody is successful. Something has gotta be wrong; you gotta be down with some higher power. And I guess when someone else is successful, it makes you feel like you’re a failure. So it can’t be you, it has to be some other force.”

FORBES LISTS THE HIP-HOP CASH KING OF 2008

It's been some year for Jay-Z. In the past year, the hip-hop demigod released a platinum album, signed a 10-year deal worth $150 million with concert promoter Live Nation and finally got married to longtime girlfriend Beyoncé. He really did his thing. But with all that considered, it was still only good enough for a silver medal.

While Jay-Z topped Forbes.com's inaugural Hip-Hop Cash Kings list of the top-earning people in the business last year, in '08 he is dethroned by 50 Cent, who raked in $150 million over the past 12 months - almost twice what Jay made.

JAY-Z, N*E*R*D AND COLDPLAY DO THE PEMBERTON MUSIC FESTIVAL

Explosive back-to-back sets by Jay-Z, N*E*R*D, and Coldplay capped the closing day of the inaugural Pemberton Festival, an ambitious weekend long event in a dusty British Columbia (Canada) mountain valley that, minus a few snags, was a tremendous success.

Pharrell continued to spaz and dance around providing one of the most energetic preformances of the festival. And Coldplay never disappoints. There is nothing that can be said about this band that hasn't already been said. With the new album out they had a load of new material with a highlight being the performance of their new single Viva La Vida.

More than 30,000 fans gave a thunderous welcome to Jay-Z, who arrived via helicopter and performed hits like 99 Problems and A Hard Knock Life. "He brought Canada a hip hop show that will be talked about for a while," a fan proclaimed.

"To come up and here and get this much love, don't think I don't appreciate it," Jay-Z declared. "I appreciate each and every one of y'all out there."

TIMBALAND TO PRODUCE NEXT JAY-Z ALBUM

Jay-Z is gearing up to release a new album, teaming up with Timbaland, who will be the sole producer of the album.

“He wants me to do the whole thing this time around,” Timbaland said Monday during a visit to the MTV News office.

“I’mma make it a classic too. You better believe it. It’ll be a monster! .”

Timbaland's making some big claims proclaiming that the "music is gonna be so worldwide, he'll be able to tour the rest of his life, maybe, off just this one album."

Maybe, indeed. This definitely make for a great combination for a whole album. I am excited to see what they come up with.

JAY-Z AND DIDDY ARE HIGHER MAINTENANCE THEN WE THOUGHT

Diddy and Jay-Z have more in common than we thought. According to US Weekly, the two hip-hop kingpins get a Brazilian wax on their nether regions, leaving every area, well, bald. That's right, two of our most famous rap stars have admitted to—how can we put it delicately?— applying molten hot wax to their privates and having the hair ripped out of the follicle. Remember how painful it was to watch Steve Carell's chest-waxing scene in The 40-Year-Old Virgin? Well that's nothing compared to what they have to endure...

Diddy says, "I'll have a manicure and pedicure — and yes, I wax as well. Men owe it to women to make sure they are well-groomed. I wax my privates. I also wear my fragrance, Unforgivable Black." And Jay-Z simply states that "bald is beautiful."

Favs, Naomi Campbell and Tyson Beckford were spotted over the weekend at the Africa Rising Festival in Abuja, Nigeria. The 3rd annual music and fashion festival showcases the positive elements and major improvements across the African continent. This years star studded events featured performance from the industries top acts, including Rihanna featuring Jay-Z, Usher, Chris Brown and Mary J Blige.
