GQ IS ALL ABOUT THE WEEKEND BAG!

And so am I...
British GQ recently underwent a facelift and they’ve a number of editorials to their fashion section, including a feature on American sportswear and cobalt blue. By far their best though is this weekend bag feature, showing six of the best holdalls from people like Norton & Sons, Mulberry and Bric’s. Take a look at the full article here.

MEN'S RUNWAYS IN MILAN STILL WHITE AS HELL

On the day we inaugurate our first African American president, this is ironic: In Milan, not a single black, Asian, or Latino model walked the runways of Jil Sander, Missoni, Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Gianfranco Ferré, Roberto Cavalli, or Prada. The Emporio Armani and Versace shows notably included black models. Gucci designer Frida Giannini said she is "always looking for black models, or even Chinese or whatever, for the shows,” but agencies always send her the same crop of white guys. Her show featured an entirely white cast. But an owner of New York modeling agency Red (our fav) said he sent over several black models he thought would do well (they didn't). The New York Times reports:
“Maybe they think it’s too obvious” to feature an ethnically inclusive runway casting in the week of Barack Obama’s inauguration, Franca Sozzani, the Vogue Italia editor, said of designers. “It has nothing to do with a racist attitude,” the editor insisted ...
Not only are the whitewashed runways ironic in light of the inauguration, but this is the same country that gave us the historic all-black Italian Vogue just months ago.

4 SUITS OBAMA SHOULD WEAR TO THE INAUGURATION
If you Baracked the vote back in November, than you’re just as excited as I am for tomorrows' inauguration ceremonies. Kanye West was recently quoted as saying, “I could design something for Obama to go to the club in. But I don’t know if I’m ready for suits and stuff.” I don’t think any of us are ready to see Barack and Michelle in the club slow windin’, no matter how dope ‘Ye would be able to suit them up. You know what though.. Fresco Daily took the liberty of picking out a few options that will put some swag for our NEXT PRESIDENT'S big day.SUIT OPTION 1 & 2: Dolce & Gabbana

SUIT OPTION 3 & 4: Ermenegildo Zegna
OH SO FRESCO...

COAT SWAG

Atlanta’s Philips Arena was filled with some of the city’s biggest celebrities, including Ciara, Polow Da Don, Young Jeezy, and Kevin Liles, who all watched court side as the Atlanta Hawks took on the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday night. While Polow & Jeezy have been just slightly overdressed for the occassion, we couldn't deny the Coat Swag that was in the building.

MEET THE NEW GUY | ARMANDO CABRAL

While the women's division of the modeling industry becomes moderately diverse, the men's division remains white-washed. Enter Armando Cabral. The Portugal native started modeling in 2001, when his sister urged him to try it out. And he's been posing ever since. For two years now, Cabral has been successful in Europe, snagging spreads in Numéro Homme and walking for designers like Louis Vuitton, Dior and Dries Van Noten. But the six-foot-two stud's career is finally heating up on our side of the Atlantic and we think it's about damn time. Scope him out as he showcases his razor sharp cheekbones in the new story for V Man- Extreme Edge: The Male Silhouette, lensed by Mario Testino. We can only hope Testino continues to work with him and blesses us with more ...

JAY-Z ROCKS OUT IN HIPSTER CHIC

It’s pretty clear that no one got swagger like Jay.
Jigga Man swagged it up earlier this week @ the Last Chance For Change Concert For Obama in Cleveland, Ohio.
To my surprise Jay-Z has decided to get a lil Hipster trendy on us.
A lil Lumber-jack-swag checkered button down with a pair of over-sized frames. I digs.

3SIXTEEN | FALL COLLECTION 2008

Hypebeast just put me on this cool clothing line called 3sixteen which specializes in casual and contemporary clothing for the urban hipster. They have just released their Fall Lookbook which features this dope a** Hooded Blazer and Button-Up jacket. The Button-Up jacket features an aeroknit lining, a scuba neck hood, contrasting side gussets and ribbing. The athletically designed body of the jacket creates an interesting union with the refined usage of subtle colors and striped materials. The Hooded Blazer also includes the use of the striped fleece but keep things on a higher level as it references the classical stylings of your typical blazer. All in all, the foundations have been established and the wheels in motion for a successful fall campaign from 3sixteen. . Definitely check out the rest of the fall collection over at 3sixteen.com
