T.I.’s Paper Trail is shaping up to be very top heavy. With collabs with everyone from Rihanna, to the monstorous Swagger Like Us with Ye, Jay & Weezy - I’m surprised that TIP didn’t keep this new track under wraps.

Once again he pairs with Justin Timberlake, who was on last years huge banger, My Love. And looks like the magic has sparked again.

WILLIAM RAST BY JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE S/S 09

Justin Timberlake's William Rast line showed last night at the Roseland Ballroom. The minute the show finished, Anna Wintour dashed toward the backstage, though she had a little trouble getting past a burly guard. A Rast staffer quickly recognized her and led her right in and up to Timberlake.

'Hey! Thanks so much for coming!' Timberlake exclaimed. 'My pleasure,' Wintour replied, adding that she liked the show but had to dash. 'Can we get together soon?' Wintour asked. 'Of course. Email me and we'll make it work,' Justin replied."

And JT hasn't been exactly been subtle about promoting it: He's appeared in his label's, uh, distinctive geometric-lapeled blazer—a staple of the fall collection—everywhere, rocking white on the cover of Fashion Rocks, gray to the event's red carpet, and black to the after-party. We get it, Justin, you've got a clothing line. But would one night off really be so bad?

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE DOES FASHION ROCKS

Justin Timberlake is well on his way to attaning fashion-icon status. Looking very sophisiti-chic in a white tux, he lends his graces to the new issue of Fashion Rocks magazine. Aside from this. he has recently been named the new face of Givenchy’s men’s fragrance, Play!

Inside the mag, Justin takes credit from pal Ashton Kutcher for launching the trucker hat fad in the late 90s.

Says JT: “It’s funny. I keep hearing Ashton Kutcher say how he was responsible for trucker caps. I’ve heard him make that statement before . . . Trace [his best friend] and I were wearing them when we were seventeen.”

Hmm…. not too sure if that’s something to be proud of or claim at all for that matter. Whatever the case, let’s just hope he goes sans headwear when he hits the stage at this year’s star-studded event in September.

'FASHION ROCKS' PERFORMERS ANNOUNCED

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is slowly creeping up and the line up for the Fashion Rock’s Fifth Annual Concert has music’s heavy hitters gracing New York’s Radio City Music Hall Stage.

Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna, and Lil Wayne are just a few of the scheduled artist on the star-studded bill to perform. The event, which will benefit Stand Up to Cancer, will go down September 5th.

JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE BECOMES 'WILLIAM RAST'

Justin Timberlake "never really wanted" to be the face of his clothing line, William Rast, according to WWD. But the label's higher-ups managed to talk him into starring in the latest campaign for its first full collection:

"We came up with this idea for him to play a role as this guy named William Rast," [creative director] Johan Lindeberg said. "So it isn't meant to be Justin, it's Justin playing a role, as an actor. When we explained the idea, he instantly loved it and got really into building the profile of this character."

In fact, Justin plays this William Rast character in a series of short Internet movies called "My Name Is William Rast" debuting at williamrastmovie.com later this month. In them William Rast is a rebel who runs from the police with Birdie, his lady friend, played by model Erin Wasson. The couple wears head-to-toe William Rast and apparently have committed some mysterious crime. As they flee the police they stop from time to time for "steamy make-out sessions," eventually dashing into the forest together as gunshots go off in the background.
