MCM'S BIG RETURN

Being the vintage whores that we are, we were jazzed to hear from WWD this morning that the German accessories house MCM is about to be resuscitated by Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent sugar daddy, the Sungjoo Group. Not that we're much for logo bags, but a recent scan on eBay did turn up a few tasteful bits of old-school arm candy. Even more interesting, is MCM is planning to re-enter the U.S. market with 400-square-feet in The Plaza Hotel. Not quite 5th Avenue, but maybe that's a good thing.

DIOR HOMME OPENS AN ONLINE STORE

Dior Homme must have been listening to alittle Biggie lately. They’ve been following his advice and moving in silence and violence (ok, maybe not so much violence), but they quietly opened an online store about 6 months ago. Recently, Kanye West has been spotted all over the place wearing this white Louis Vuitton’s signature Damier Canvas print backpack with light brown leather trim , pictured above, once again proving that his "Louis Vuitton Don” moniker is not just empty bravado. The moment I saw it I fell head-over-heels in love. I found out that the backpack was custom made for Kanye.

The backpack is available to the public however, by custom order only. It ships directly from Italy and takes approximately 8 months to make. All you need... $15,000. To place an order, you are required to pay half of the cost up front. Naturally.

Model Agyness Deyn Knows How to Party... In Style!

Fashion “it” girl, model Agyness Deyn proves to be the ultimate party girl, busying her evening first by attending the opening party for the new Chanel boutique on Dover Street in London, dripped up and drapped out in Chanel. She wore a black dress from their Spring '08 collection, complete with red arm-band and embellished gloves.

Afterward she migrated to The Club restaurant with some friends, and later ended up at the Karaoke Box in Soho where she sang her heart out. But the night could not end perfectly without sealing it off with an always intriguing, girl-on-girl kiss.
