collection: DIOR HOMME S|S 2010 AVAILABLE AT LUISAVIAROMA

We’ve already mentioned a number of Pre-Order’s available for pending Spring/Summer 2010 collections. Now Luisaviaroma has released Dior Homme’s next season collection too, of which most of is available now. Of particular interest given the ongoing debate over Kris Van Assche’s success with the brand since taking over at the helm. I think this is without doubt Van Assche’s best collection yet for Dior Homme. It’s simple and clean, yet iconic enough to adorn the Dior Homme name. The footwear, as previewed before is the best yet, and the jeans as always offer a vast selection of great washes. See what’s available from Luisaviaroma after the jump.

lookbook: CASELY-HAYFORD S|S 2010

Casely-Hayford is without doubt one of our favourite new brands, the coming together of two generations in Charlie and Joe Casely-Hayford is the perfect mix of today and the quality and tailoring of the past. Here’s a look at Spring/Summer 2010, again, its a collection to make everyone else stand up and take notice.

“It’s been an amazing year. Being approached by several top international retailers was a major endorsement of what we are doing. Collaborating with Swaroskvi on their first ever menswear project along with Lanvin and Phillip Lim has been really exciting… and working on this new project with John Lewis has been so fulfilling. I don’t think there’s been anything like it before – it’s essentially a celebration of ‘the Best of British’ under one umbrella. Each season my father will be designing a complete wardrobe and collaborating with some of the most highly respected British heritage brands for John Lewis to create new unique garments. We received some of the samples just before Christmas and they look really strong. The first items should be in store from the end of February. Lulu inviting us to take part in London Fashion Week as part of Fashion East was obviously also another highlight of the year.”

collection: PHARRELL WILLIAMS x MONCLER [PREVIEW]

Pharrell Williams continues to show his interest in design. In the past he co-founded two clothing brands (Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Footwear), co-designed a collection of jewelry and glasses for Louis Vuitton, and worked on furniture with French manufacturer, Domeau & Pérès. Now Williams is collaborating with European brand Moncler to design “bulletproof” jackets with the use of his own company, Bionic Yarn, which sources its material from recycled plastic bottles. The collection will consist of “an all-black selection that will include extended length, ‘bulletproof’ puffer jackets.” Williams said in a release, “To me, Moncler has always been the premier luxury outerwear brand. Their clothes are the chicest and blend classic outerwear with high-end fabrics.” The collection will debut in the fall 2010 season.

BABY PHAT S/S 09

Friday night's Baby Phat presentation at Roseland Ballroom drew the likes of Andre Leon Talley, Serena Williams, and Kimora's squeeze Djimon Hounsou. The collection had a Studio 54 meets the seventies era vibe. There were neutral color palettes and the utilitarian pockets. Kind of like a disco version of the Sahara Desert. Some things felt a little safari. And then it was disco in the asymmetrical necklines, the silk jersey and the wide leg and the high waist. Taking a post-show bow in one of her own lime-green jumpsuits, Simmons was accompanied, as always, by daughters Ming and Aoki Lee, who, like their entrepreneurial mother, have their own ideas about getting things done.

MARC JACOBS | S/S 09

We have to admit, that unlike a lot of bloggers, we are not spending every waking moment in the tents. Partly it's because almost everything pales in comparison to what we saw from Marc Jacobs on Monday. He just seems to be operating on a different level. Here's a look at the full collection.

LOUIS VUITTON DAMIER GRAPHITE COLLECTION

Fashion house Louis Vuitton gave us a sneak peek of their Damier Graphite collection a few months back during the men's Fall '08 show. And from the looks of things it seems that designer Marc Jacobs has taken the popular canvas print to higher heights - adorning bags, wallets, ties, belts, footwear and pretty much everyting else he could get his hands on. This collection is an instant classic in our eyes. The understated and subdued tonal gray/black pattern makes for a timeless accessory that will compliment any of your dopest attire.

Marc Jacobs does YSL

Here's a peek at Marc Jacobs' Resort '09 Collection. Seems like he's paying tribute to the late Yves Saint Laurent... it's eerily uncanny in its timing.

Tom Ford 2008 Spring/Summer Collection

Tom Ford's 2007 perfume campaign stirred up quite a controversy with its sexually charged and provocative ads. And he's sure to have critics talking once again , in lieu of his 2008 Spring/Summer Collection. He has once again enlisted none other then Terry Richardson as the photographer for the campaign.
