French house Hermès, renown for their luxurious leather products have hit the designer sneaker market with their own interpretation of a metallic hi-top silhouette. Utilizing some of the world’s rarest materials including crocodile and snake skin, Hermès has been a constant caterer to the celebrity world. This pair seemingly aimed towards that very demographic, carries a steep price tag of $981 USD.

MONCLER DOUDOUNE FLANNEL DOWN JACKET

Just in time for the cold ass weather we'll all soon fall victim to. Moncler is releasing from their 2008 fall/winter collection is a limited edition down jacket for Colette. The French luxury company produces this piece with a sporty and thermal resistant design, made of light flannel wool. Along with nice black striped piping and front M-65 like pockets is a detachable hood. The jacket is now available at the Colette online store.

I LOVE THESE | KUBRICK A/W 08 FOOTWEAR

Fledgling Japanese footwear brand Kubrick debuts the Hi-Top model for their Autumn/Winter 2008 Collection. Equipped with intricate detailing, such as a wrap-around lacing system and d-style heel pulls they have popped up to stake their claim to fame in the exorbitanly expensive shoe game. Inspired by the works of film director Stanley Kubrick (remember Eyes Wide Shut), the line looks to incorporate the same essence from the highly acclaimed director. Three colors are available. My favs are the yellow-on-white.

BALENCIAGA HI-TOP SNEAKER

The sneaker comes in a mix of leather and mesh with black and grey colorway. I like the minimalist style. Simple, yet chic. Don't know that they do for me the same thing the Lanvin's do, or the Dior's , for that matter. Cute nonetheless.

MY LATEST OBSESSION: THE NEW AND IMPROVED LANVIN HIGH-TOP

Lanvin's sneakers have been the trend setter for a couple of seasons now. Using innovation materials, especially metallic coloured leather, mesh, satin etc, the high end stylesn not only command attention, but high prices as well.

For Spring/Summer 2009, we've seen the reinterpretation of their hi top sneakers, this time with metallic captoe and using bead embroidery on the sides of the shoe. Colours are again refreshing my fav is the deep purple with lavender metallics. Also available in gold with red.

MY LATEST OBSESSION: D & G PLAID SNEAKERS

The higher powers that be, here descended upon me this gorgeous pair of Dolce &Gabbana plaid sneakers. I absolutely love the style! These babies definitely get my shopping adrenalin pumping. It is like a Converse All-Star doped up. The clever use of plaid (which is the top trend for fall winter 2008/2009), mixed with leather and accented with really interesting buckle details.
