design: DEE & RICKY x ROC STAR "BIRD OF PARADISE" BROOCHES

Lego-designing wunderkinds Dee & Ricky teamed up with the Japanese brand, Roc Star, to create a series of bird brooches. Overall they present 3 colorways of the piece and they are part of the Roc Star Spring/Summer 2010 “Bird of Paradise” Collection. Maybe you can’t splurge for a tropical vaca, but you can certainly pin one of these feathered friends to your lapel,Via Colorfarm.

Pharrell Williams’ The Tank Chair was the main topic of conversation recently as the artist appeared on The New York Times Style Magazine ‘Something Big Something Small’ video series. The short interview provides great knowledge about what was behind the project with Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin.

Another topic of discussion was the web platform Williams has created, Artist Guild and Gallery democratizes art and invites young minds to create, upload and share work.

design: TANK CHAIR by PHARRELL WILLIAMS

The 'Tank Chair’ is Pharrell Williams second chair design as a part of his Persective series, released through Emmanuel Perriton Gallery. The Tank Chair is obvious in its conception, but as with the last design, very well put together, from the craftsmanship through to the general mix of materials and colours. The chair will be revealed next week at Art Basel.

design: SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS by KARL LAGERFELD

Here is a piece of work from the illustrious Karl Lagerfeld that I'm will certain will garner a lot of attention. Spongebob Squarepants is the latest subject of attraction for the fashion icon. The Spongebob figure was given a little Lagerfeld swag, customized with dark shades, a towering starched collar and of course the fingerless gloves and has already raised 1,000 euros for WWD at a recent fundraiser in Paris.
