BRANDY PAYS VITCTIM'S KIDS $600,000

Brandy is breaking out her checkbook to put the worst day of her life behind her.

She has reached a settlement in the wrongful-death lawsuit brought on behalf of the children of the woman killed in a December 2006 multicar collision involving the singer.

Awatef Aboudihaj's two children will receive a total of $600,000 -- $300,000 each -- according to court documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court moments ago. Aboudihaj died in 2006 after her car was struck by Brandy's Range Rover near the interchange of the 405 and 101 freeways in Los Angeles.Her husband, Marouane Hdidou -- who has yet to settle with Brandy -- rejected his part of a $1.2 million settlement offer in February.

BRANDY'S WORST DEBUT EVER | BEYONCE GOES PLATINUM

This week on the charts: Beyonce comes in at number 3 with her latest LP I Am…Sasha Fierce selling 161,997 discs, pushing the album’s total sales to 1055,297 copies total (Platinum Plus for Status ). Kanye West's, 808’s & Heartbreak pushes 128,113 units this week landnig him at number 6, moving his total to 632K. Musiq Soulchild debuts on the charts this week at number 11 with 97,100 copies sold.

Also making his debut on the charts this week is Common landing the number 12 spot with 84,764 copies sold. Brandy returns to the billboard charts with her fifth studio album to a dissapointing start. Her latest LP, “Human” comes in at number 15 with only 74,092 copies sold. Making it her worst debut ever!

AS MUCH AS WE LOVE THEM | FASHION WEEK'S OVER-EXPOSED CELEBS

It's so strange that half the fun of Fashion Week is ogling the celebrities who attend. They have very little real business being there when you think about it, but seldom do weeks pop up on the calendar when so many opportunities for shameless self-promotion exist. This season we decided to honor the men and women who took the most advantage of Fashion Week's self-exposure opportunities. We left off well-known editors and buyers — anyone attending Fashion Week as part of his or her job. We also focused on fashion shows, rather than parties, but bear in mind the folks who made the most show rounds also hit the party circuit — appropriately, these individuals' omnipresence knew no bounds.

THE BEST & THE WORST | 2008 FASHION ROCKS

Everything really does happen during Fashion Week, it really is a case of 'so many events, so little time'. , Many A-listers took time away from the hectic showschedule to stop by Conde Nast's fifth annual Fashion Rocks event. From Tyra to Solange, Rihanna to Beyonce, they were all there in their finery.

THE BEST:

Beyonce in Costume National LDB: She rocked this short, sleeveless number, with silk insets. Silver and gold shoes were the focal point along with Egyptian-inspired eyes. Simple, and so very hot.

Ciara in Elie Saab: This was one of my favorites of the night, she. If she had worn her hair down, she would have come dangerously close to being Beyonce's twin.but I'll be damned if I can see

Rihanna in Monique Lhuillier: She goes surprisingly romantic for once, with a mini mohawk with an equally dramatic gown and jeweled belt. Love the lack of jewelery, a dress like this does the talking.

Brandy in Lanvin: She made what I would otherwise consider a trash bag, look so classy and dope. Flawless. Best look of the night.

THE WORST:

Ashanti in Marchesa: I'm not sure this color is the most flattering for her.

Lil' Mama in WTF!!!

Solange in Armani Prive: She is intent on being remembered for something other than being Beyonce's baby sis, and right now it seems she's decided to be known for her insane sense of style. Ok, so it's Armani, so what. It still looks like she's been swallowed by a giant sea urchin.

Tyra in who cares: We love you... but this dress was a hot mess. Those batwing sleeve are terrible. And the slit didn't help much either.

SPOTTED: BRANDY AT TRACY REESE

Brandy was spotted, fresh-faced, in the front row at Tracy Reese yesterday afternoon. And let me tell you... If designers need a front-row celebrity cheerleader, she's the one to call. With eyes as big as a cartoon bunny, she was in complete awe of everything that walked down the runway. She was the exact opposite of the industry people - who try extra hard to be cool cucumbers in the front row. She got so excited at one point that she dared to bounce in her seat and snap her fingers. When the music picked up, Brandy sang along and waved her hands. She even talked to models, telling one in a purple pastel floral, mid-walk, "You go, girl!"

BRANDY IS OFFICIALY BACK | NEW VIDEO: RIGHT HERE (DEPARTED)

Brandy premiered her video for the first single from her new album, Human (in stores November 11th!!). It features cameos from Ray-J, longtime friend/ collab partner, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins and Tia Mowry’s husband Corey Hardrict.

It's so good to have her back. The video is dope. So much emotion. And it really brings the song to life.

Brandy is back with the release her official first single, “Right Here (Departed),” from her long-awaited, forthcoming 5th studio album. The new single, which debuted yesterday on her official website, is produced by none-other than long time collaborator and friend, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

Rumors have been sturring around the new release, but it has been definitely been confirmed that Brandy will team up with Danja & The Clutch, as well as Bryan-Michael Cox.

BRANDY TEAMS UP WITH SKECHERS FOR CHARITY

Brandy and her six year-old daughter, Sy’rai, team up with Sketchers for its Nothing Compares to Family ad campaign. All proceeds will benefit Brandy’s Norwood Kids Foundation in order to provide safe havens for at risk youth.

In other Brandy news: her fifth studio album is due in stores in November.

“It’s great to be part of Skechers’ campaign, which promotes and benefits families and children,” Brandy said.
