CHRIS MARCH SUES THIERRY MUGLER OVER BEYONCE COSTUMES

Project Runway alum Chris March is suing Thierry Mugler for allegedly not paying him for work he did on Beyoncé's costumes for her current I AM tour. That sentence was a lot to take in: Chris March, Beyoncé, Thierry Mugler, a lawsuit. We had know idea Chris even worked on costumes for Beyoncé — and her band and her backup dancers — until the suit surfaced. Reached by phone this afternoon, Chris explained he's worked with Thierry for almost seven years on various projects, including Cirque du Soleil costumes. Beyoncé hired Mugler to create her tour costumes in November, and Chris met with Mugler about the project in late December. In January he started work.

CHRIS BROWN PLEADS GUILTY | GETS A SLAP ON THE WRIST

A plea deal has been reached in the Chris Brown/Rihanna beatdown case.

The announcement was made moments before a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles was set to begin.

Chris has plead guilty to felony assault and his attorney, Mark Geragos says the deal includes five years of supervised probation and six months of community labor.

The judge expressed some concerns because Chris is not a California resident, but it appears Chris will be allowed to do his community service in his home state of Virginia.

Upon completion of the labor, he'll enter a 52-week domestic violence counseling program.

He was also ordered to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna in public and 10 yards away from her at events where they are obligated to attend, like at an awards show. Rihanna's lawyer requested that the pair be allowed in the same place at the same time, which suggest that the 2 are STILL getting it in. This "stay away" order will be effect for five years.

If he violates the term of his probation, he could get up to four years in prison.

BEYONCE ABOUT TO GET SLAPPED WITH A LAWSUIT

A pullout by Beyoncé Knowles has a NYC clubowner threatening a million-dollar lawsuit. The singer was slated to perform tomorrow at M2 — the West 27th Street nightclub formerly known as Mansion — as part of the launch of her “I Am . . . Sasha Fierce” North American tour. M2 owner Joey Morrissey agreed to pay the singer $200,000 for the gig, he says.

Sadly, on Wednesday Beyoncé’s people suddenly pulled the plug on the performance, despite having signed a contract that had prompted Morrissey to spend $100,000 preparing for the show, according to the clubowner. “They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn’t have time to do the kickoff party,” Morrissey tells Page Six. To make up for the cancellation, Morrissey says Beyoncé offered to stop by the club “to hang out for an hour” on Sunday. He adds, “I mean, we sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations. What good does her showing up for an hour do me? They’ve been totally unwilling to agree to another show.”As a result, Morrissey says he’s now preparing to file suit against Beyoncé, claiming his place has suffered a “loss of reputation” in addition to the sunk cash. “We had an overwhelming response from our clubgoers, who were lining up to buy tickets and tables. This will come as a great disappointment to all of them,” he claims, adding, “If Beyoncé cancels and doesn’t give us a new date, this hurts our credibility in night life.”

BRANDY PAYS VITCTIM'S KIDS $600,000

Brandy is breaking out her checkbook to put the worst day of her life behind her.

She has reached a settlement in the wrongful-death lawsuit brought on behalf of the children of the woman killed in a December 2006 multicar collision involving the singer.

Awatef Aboudihaj's two children will receive a total of $600,000 -- $300,000 each -- according to court documents filed in L.A. County Superior Court moments ago. Aboudihaj died in 2006 after her car was struck by Brandy's Range Rover near the interchange of the 405 and 101 freeways in Los Angeles.Her husband, Marouane Hdidou -- who has yet to settle with Brandy -- rejected his part of a $1.2 million settlement offer in February.

MUSIC NEWS: LIL' WAYNE SUED FOR COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT + T.I. PUSHES PAPER TRAIL BACK

Add Lil Wayne to the long list of rappers who have been sued for allegedly sampling songs without permission or proper credit. Wayne- is being sued by a music publishing company that owns the rights to the Rolling Stones song Play with Fire. Abkco Music Inc. claims that Wayne released an alternate version of the song — that they’re calling “explicit, sexist and offensive” — without permission. They’re suing for copyright infringement and seeking unspecified damages.

In the song's chorus, blues singer Betty Wright croons the line, "But you can't blame me if I set this stage on fire," which has similar wording to the Stones tune's chorus: "But don't play with me/ 'Cause you're playing with fire." Wright sings the line with a different cadence and emphasis than Mick Jagger does however.

Wayne's song begins with Wright singing, "So you've got so many diamonds/ You wear all the finest clothes/ And you grill is shining/ As you're driving down the streets of gold/ But you can't blame me if I set this thing on fire." The Stones version begins with the lines: "Well, you've got your diamonds and you've got your pretty clothes/ And the chauffeur drives your car/ You let everybody know/ But don't play with me/ 'Cause you're playing with fire."

A rep at the label could not be reached for comment.

T.I., whose first official single, Whatever You Like, recentyl leaked, is set to shoot the new music video this weekend in Los Angeles. His Paper Trail album however, is being pushed back to September 30th!

Naomi Pleads Guilty...Again!

Naomi Campbell pleaded guilty today on charges that she assualted two police officers after a recent altercation on a plane at London’s Heathrow airport.

Wearing a dark suit and sunglasses, the 38-year-old Campbell was escorted through a sea of reporters and photogs who anxiously waited outside for a shot of the supermodel. Naomi originally faced six charges in the incident.

R. Kelly Acquitted of All Charges

In a dramatic verdict which left even his own highly-paid lawyers 'jaw-dropped,' R&B star, R. Kelly was cleared of all 14 counts of child pornography on Friday. Six years after he was charged with videotaping himself while he allegedly had sex with — and urinated on — his underage goddaughter at his former home in Chicago. A jury took a little more than seven hours over a two day span to acquit him.

Fifteen witnesses identified the alleged victim as the girl on the notorious 27-minute sex tape and a dozen identified Kelly as the man, but the jury said they could not be sure.

The refusal of the alleged victim to testify for the state was key in their decision, jurors said. She was just 13 or 14 when the tape was allegedly made sometime between 1998 and 2000.

But an overcome Kelly dropped his head and began sobbing as the first “not guilty” was read shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, keeping it bowed for several minutes as he was cleared on each of the remaining counts.

Minutes later Kelly walked out of the courthouse a free man, striding past TV and press cameras and into a jubilant crowd of 75 supporters, before speeding away in a chauffeured SUV.
