Sneak Peek: BBC | Ice Cream Season 7 Look Book

Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream just came out with their Season 7 online lookbook. As usual, the people at BBC keep it fun with the Space Beach theme and good use of bright colors and graphics. CHANEL IMAN DOES DIOR HAUTE COUTURE

This season John Galliano for Christian Dior brought us 1920's-style hats and silhouettes that cinched at the waists and then exaggerated their proportions coming off the body. He played with bondage-like materials (black patent, leather) paired them with virginesqu white chiffons. In Dior's world right now, women could be both dangerous and demure, rules with an iron clad fist. This is rightly couture. Galliano is where he is best. We are impressed. And seeing Chanel Iman on the runway is always a breath of fresh air.
Guests included Liv Tyler, Eva Mendes, Janet Jackson and supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

MEET: TAZ ARNOLD

You've got questions, we've got answers...

So Kanye West made his rounds at the men's shows in Paris, but attention was not on him. Everybody was much more interested in knowing who his "mystery fashion friend" was. Well, allow me to introduce to you producer and fashion maven Taz Arnold. Formerly a member of the group Sa-Ra and a frequent collaborator with Kanye West and Hype Williams.

He blends music, fashion and sheer mathematical genius in a harmonic manifestation of what I call, dopeness! And his otherworldly melodies and matchless sense of style should force everyone to reconfigure their perception of both, the worlds of music and fashion as they know it.

When it comes to his style he says:

"When you see me dressed tripped out it’s because I grew up in a certain era. I’m mixing and matching different extremes. So when you see me its not some random craziness—there’s a history behind all that stuff. And for the record I’m not a fashionable person. Fashion is a pre-packaged style. I’m more a style person. It’s about being original and being an individual. My look is my personal style."

Model Ruslana Korshunova Dead After Apparent Suicide

Russian model, Ruslana Korshunova, who had appeared on the covers of French Elle and Russian Vogue - a rising star in the fashion industry, was found dead outside her Manhattan apartment on Saturday after falling from her balcony, in an apparent suicide. While friends said there had been no signs the 20-year-old had been suicidal, internet postings show swings between euphoria and despair in a series of postings on the theme of love. Police say the fall is under investigation.

Her death is the latest to rock the fashion world, in February, the body of Katoucha Niane, the former supermodel muse of Yves Saint Laurent, was found in the Seine near Paris after an apparent suicide.

Limited-Edition Billionaire Boys Club Hat is Going Fast

Today Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club releases a limited-edition New Era hat that pays homage to New York City. The brand is known for its swarovski-studded hoodies and hats emblazoned with BBC, but this hat flaunts the letters NYC. It's also blue-and-orange, which would match nicely to Knicks and Mets jerseys. Sneakerheads are going crazy over this $75 piece, a redesigned version of a blue-and-white hat BBC released in January that sold out on its first day in the store. But BBC only made 100 of the NYC caps, so if you want one you better act fast! At around 10 a.m. this morning we spotted a long line of BBC fans eager to get their paws on one of these puppies outside the BBC store at 456 West Broadway. The store manager tells us they're not sold out just yet, but they are going fast. If you miss your chance you can probably buy one on eBay down the line, for, we're guessing, twice the price.

Kanye & Pharrell at Loius Vuitton's Menswear S/S 09

NAOMI CAMPBELL BANNED FROM NELSON MANDELA CONCERT

Naomi Campbell has been banned from participating in a concert celebrating Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday due to her latest run-in with the law, according to reports. The supermodel recently pled guilty to assaulting 2 police officers on a British airplane. Campbell, who is a close friend of Mandela, was originally on the list to present acts at the concert, but has since been removed. A source close to the situation tells Britain’s The Daily Mail:
"The man himself intervened and she was pulled off the list. He was disappointed with her recent arrest. All plans were scrapped when pictures emerged of her being arrested, wearing the baseball cap with the Mandela number (46664) on it. She will be allowed to sit in the grandstand and watch the performances, but that is as far as it goes.”

“The organizers felt that this type of negative publicity goes against everything Mandela stands for and didn’t want her arrest to be associated with the charity concert.”

New Music: Common feat. Pharrell "Announcement"

Over the years, Hip- Hop MC’s have evolved from your standard b-boy’s to streetwise lyricists that report on any number of subjects. Common represents the upper echelon of these lyricists in terms of his dedication to the craft, political/social awareness of subject matter, and a clear conscience that his words are being heard and absorbed.

His new joint, Announcement, delivers uplifting Hip-Hop over a laid-back groove. His flow is as good as ever and a guest appearance by Pharrell does not disappoint. Common comes off a little more hard-assed than usual while The Billionaire Boy sounds comfortable delivering a dope second verse. I'm really feeling this new direction he's taking and can't wait to here more. His new album, Invincible Summer, is set for release next month.

He’s working with her on some midtempo songs, but says that the album will also have uptempo cuts.“It’s gonna be big, big pop songs,” he says of her new direction.

CIARA SIGNS WITH WILHELMINA

Ciara recently signed with Wilhelmina modeling agency and according to reports the agency will cast Ciara in fragrance and clothing campaigns. Ciara says modeling has always been an aspiration of hers but she was insecure about her height. She is 5′8. Besides her new deal with the agency she is also working on a clothing line for the budget conscience Steve & Barry’s.

LIL' WAYNE FANS FUME OVER CONCERT SCAM

Hundreds of Lil' Wayne fans were left fuming after a phony promoter tricked a nightclub into advertising a fake gig by the rapper.

More than 700 people showed up at Club Illusions in Alabama on Saturday night, only to find the star was a no show. The club manager has now revealed that the gig was part of an elaborate scam by a bogus concert promoter, who promised a gig by the Lollipop star and then allegedly disappeared with over $45,000 in ticket sales.

Manager Esa Jones admits that all the club officials were fooled by the man, who identified himself as Tony Lee and claimed to be a representative for Coastal Boy Entertainment.

She says, “We got scammed real bad. It looked planned, they printed tickets, had radio advertisements, ticket locations, it looks so legit.”

A police investigation is underway to look into the alleged fraud.
