The 21 st Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards took place last night at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The invitation-only gala honored ASCAP's top songwriters and publishers of 2007. The performance-heavy event was hosted by Grammy-winning songwriter/artist Johnta Austin.New Edition was presented with the Golden Note Award in recognition of their innovative and enduring contributions to the genre. Other winners included Ne-Yo, Musiq, Tank, Kelly Price, and The Dream.
