IF EVER THERE WAS A DIDDY BIOPIC, DIDDY WOULD LIKE DEREK LUKE TO PLAY HIM AGAIN

Most rappers like to say their life is like a movie, but with the Biggie movie “Notorious” hitting theaters next month, Diddy is already talking about a biopic on himself.

“Everybody always asked me who I wanted to play me if anyone ever played me, and I said Derek Luke,” Diddy said recently while on the set of “CSI: Miami,” on which he’ll be making an appearance soon.

He went on to say that he would want Derek Luke to continue his role as "Sean Combs" should a Diddy biopic ever be made.

Diddy said he's a longtime fan of Luke's work, citing his roles in "Friday Night Lights" and "Antwone Fisher."

"His ferociousness," he said is Luke's prime attribute. "I felt like he could really represent me well."

While Diddy hasn't quite confirmed that he's interested in a movie being made on his life, he hasn't put the idea to bed either. Luke, on the other hand, has been said in interviews for the film to be a green light.

"I would love to play Puff from scratch," he said. "I would love to play him from start to finish.

PHARRELL WILLIAMS TAPPED TO PRODUCE MUSIC THEMED MOVIE

Pharrell Williams recently signed on as a producer for an upcoming music themed filmed called "Zoom."According to Variety, Williams will compose the score for the movie, as well as its soundtrack.

"Zoom" chronicles a troubled West Virginia youth who attends a music academy and finds his voice and a place in the world.

"8 Mile" producer, Brian Grazer, has been tapped to produce the film alongside Williams, while it will be directed and written by Preston Whitmore ("This Christmas"). “Zoom” is slated to released via Universal and Imagine Entertainment however there is no word when production will begin.

THE BOOTS, because I know you were thinking it, are from Tom Ford's new collection and range in price from $4,470 to $9,240. They appeal to wealthy glam junkies and luxury ski freaks. The collection consists of three pairs of boots and a compatible fur trapper hat. Ford is famous for pushing the boundaries of luxury for men, and this collection is certainly no exception.

BAD BOY TO RELEASE OFFICIAL NOTORIOUS SOUNDTRACK

Bad Boy Records is set to drop the official soundtrack for the upcoming movie Notorious on January 13, 2009. Details on the album have been revealed. MARK YOUR CALENDARS: 'THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES'

I am so amped to see The Secret Life Of Bees movie which stars a roster of greats like Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, and Sophie Okondeo. After doing a little research about the movie, it made me want to see this film even more! Set in 1964 South Carolina, the film is the moving tale of Lily Owens (Fanning) a 14 year-old girl who is haunted by the memory of her late mother. To escape her lonely life and the troubled relationship with her father, she flees with her caregiver and only friend (Hudson), to a small town that holds the secret to her mother's past. Taken in by the intelligent and independent Boatwright sisters (Latifah, Okonedo and Keys), Lily finds solace in their mesmerizing world of beekeeping. The film was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and executive- produced by Will Smith.

Be on the lookout when it hits theatres October 17, 2008.

ALICIA KEYS LANDS BOND THEME

Alicia Keys will record the coveted theme for the upcoming Quantum of Solace, the 22nd James Bond film, which hits U.S. theaters Nov. 7. The song, Another Way To Die, also featuring the White Stripes' Jack White will be the first duet in Bond soundtrack history.

Amy Winehouse, Leona Lewis, and Beyonce had previously been rumored as the vocalists for the theme.

Congrats to Alicia, who will join the ranks of Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey and Madonna as those who have sung the theme to the classic film franchise.

THE DARK KNIGHT SETS WEEKEND RECORDS WITH $155.34M

Frenzied fans pushed The Dark Knight, the sixth installment of Warner Brothers Batman franchise, to "a record $155.34 million in its first weekend, topping the previous best of $151.1 million for Spider-Man 3 in May 2007 and pacing Hollywood to its biggest weekend ever.," reports the AP.

Without a question, much of the buzz centered around the film was in anticipation over the performance given by the late Heath Ledger, who died in January from an accidental drug overdose. His manic, demonic performance is already prompting speculation that the role might earn him a posthumous Academy Award nomination.

Unlike many event and high concept films, The Dark Knight lives up to its potential. The storyline is much darker than any previous Batman. From the moment the self-proclaimed "agent of chaos" arrives in Gotham, Heath Ledger's Joker takes over the screen. The comic book character's white mask and red lips are given a terrifying, ghastly overhaul, and, his formerly infectious laughter is now reminiscent of a disturbed mental patient. Ledger completely delivers as the Joker and this is arguably the strongest role of his career.

MOVIE TRAILERS: TYLER PERRY'S “THE FAMILY THAT PREYS”

Tyler Perry's latest film The Family That Preys, recently released its official trailer. The film has an all-star lineup that includes Sanaa Lathan,Taraji P. Henson, Alfre Woodard, Robin Givens, Rockmund Dunbar and Academy Award-winning actress, Kathy Bates. The film centers around two very different families matriarchs being torn apart by greed, scandal, and lots of drama. It hits theaters September 12th.

Obsessed is a thriller in which a successful man finds his idyllic lifestyle threatened by a temp in his office who reveals herself as a stalker. Beyonce plays his wife and also serves as executive producer, along with her father.

Beyonce and Jay-Z, were spotted leaving the Pitti Bar in New York on Friday afternoon. The couple has been keeping a low profile since their secret marriage made headlines back in March. Expect all that to change as Beyonce gets ready to release a new album and two new films.

Entertainment Tonight will be the first to scoop an interview with the singer on the set of her new movie Obsessed, where she plays the wife of a businessman, played by actror Idris Elba, who is being stalked by a female admirer.

Whoopi Goldberg hosted the 62nd Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall last night. The big winner of the night, In the Heights, won for best musical. Pictured above actor Lin-Manuel Miranda and cast members celebrate.

Sex and the City Wins 'Big' at Box Office

It comes as no surprise that the Sex and the City movie debuted at #1 over the weekend selling over $55.7 million. I truly enjoyed the movie despite its many bad reviews. It was everything a generation of label- and love-addled romantic wanted and more. The fashion was spectacularly dramatic and over the top - like when Sarah Jessica Parker wears a black Burberry coat to go shopping at Duane Reade, to when she sits at her laptop, in the privacy of her own home, in a Ninni Ricci sweater trimmed with hundreds of feathers. You just gotta love it. I always enjoy Pat Fields and her whimsical fairy-tale like stylings. And the closet the size of the third floor at Bergdorf's, ridiculous. A definite go see. There is already talk of a sequel.

Meagan Good for Vanity Fair

Actress Meagan Good is featured as Vanity Fair's, 'Vanity Girl' for June 2008. The spotlight features up-and-coming actresses on the cusp of fame or those who have just hit it big in a retro 50s-style pinup shot.

You’ll see her soon, playing alongside Mike Myers and Justin Timberlake in the comedy, The Love Guru, out this month.

Meagan also just produced her first film titled, Miles from Home—which made its debut at Cannes. Her character is a quirky girl living with aids.

Hype Williams to work on N.E.R.D. film

Famed music video director Hype Williams, whose talent has been behind some of hip-hop’s most memorable videos, will put his camera work at the service of N.E.R.D. for a film that will be, in the words of front-man Pharrell Williams, “like The Beatles’s A Hard Day’s Night.”

The feature, slated for a December 2008 release, will trace the band’s evolution from the studio to the stage. Williams’ first full-length feature was 1998’s Belly and his music video catalogue includes Busta Rhymes’ “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See”, Nas’ “If I Ruled The World”, and N.E.R.D.’s “Rock Star,” among dozens of others.

N.E.R.D.’s new album Seeing Sounds is due for release June 9.
