Could Eva Mendes get any hotter? Last season, she caused a pretty big uproar over rolling provocatively on a bed in the TV ad for Calvin Klein Obsession – the ones that got banned from U.S. TV, remember? – Well it seems they've struck again from the looks of these new shots of the actress in the Calvin Klein Jeans autumn campaign. She's so HOT in fact that you almost forget that British model Jamie Dornan is even present. Let's just hope the campaign doesn't prompt the same reaction as the current provocative campaign, billboards which have been taken down in New York. Not that the Calvin Klein womenswear designer, Francisco Costa, cares – he loves the ads and the attention they're stirring up, we guess...

WHY WE HATE TO LOVE HER...

God Bless Tyra Banks. She was spotted sitting front row and center at Calvin Klein yesterday afternoon. Now if you're at all familiar with how things are done at Calvin shows, you'll know that the 'special guests' often defer to white or black attire. But oh no, not Miss Tyra. She decided to jazz up the joint in a hot-pink dress and red shoes — which had the added benefit of making it impossible to miss her, although just in case, she also accessorized with a slick updo that rested atop her head. This is why we love her; she's never seems content unless she is visible from space. Oh, Serena Williams was there too. :-)

TOM FORD FUNDRAISES FOR OBAMA

According to WWD, Tom Ford is co-hosting a fund-raiser for Barack Obama in L.A. at which, much like the Calvin Klein/Vogue fundraiser, Michelle Obama will rub elbows with fashion- and entertainment-industry types.

And while we're on the subject, today is the uber-chic designer's birthday. Who knew 47 could look this good.

An Evening with Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama rubbed elbows with the fashion elite of New York at a fundraising gala in her honor last night. Hosts included Calvin Klein, Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley, and darling of the haute couture set.

The evening began at the Sikkema Jennings Art Gallery in lower Manhattan. Guests, who included Sex And The City actress Cynthia Nixon, rapper LL Cool J, and supermodel Iman paid $1,000-a-head to dine. For a heftier sum, an elite group was invited to an intimate party at designer Klein’s plush Perry St. triplex for a cozier gathering.
