THAKOON HOLDUP EXPLAINED | KANYE INNOCENT!

UPDATE: Last night at the Barney's party, designer Thakoon Panichgal, clarified why his show was running nearly an hour late yesterday afternoon. For the record, he says it wasn't the arrival of Kanye West that was holding things up; rather, he had nine models who didn't show up on time. He wouldn't give up the names of the guilty girls, so you'll just have to direct any remnants of annoyance elsewhere.

THAKOON STARTS UN-FASHIONABLY LATE

The Thakoon show was held up almost an hour. Why you ask??? Kanye West. Organizers reportedly held the show off until he arrived. Really Kanye? Really?

But we’re almost sure Marc Jacobs will kick Thakoon out of this unfashionably late number 1 spot as his show (is supposed) starts at 9pm tonight.

MICHELLE OBAMA IN THAKOON

While other first ladies and political women often sport the likes of Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, Michelle Obama has taken to the rising stars. She rocked a printed Thakoon dress along with three Erickson Beamon broaches the night her husband delivered his nomination acceptance speech.

It's a big coup for Thakoon Panchigul, who was recently approved for membership in the CFDA.

"I am incredibly honored that Michelle Obama chose to wear a dress from my collection on such a historical night for her, her family and this country," the designer said.
