AMBER ROSE SIGNS WITH FORD MODELS

Major advantages of dating Kanye West: access to the front row of every fashion show - the chance to hang out with Madonna at the Met Ball - free sneakers from Ye's line with Louis Vuitton (OK, we made that up but we're thinking it's probably true). And, it seems, in the case of Kanye's much-debated-about-but-still-very-much-girlfriend Amber Rose, a full-on modeling contract. According to fashion insider Derek Blasberg's Twitter account, she has just signed a giant contract with Ford Models, the agency which incidentally also looks after the likes of Chanel Iman.

KID CUDI INKS DEAL WITH MOTOWN | LAUNCHING NEW LABEL

Kid Cudi has just put to rest any retirement rumors with a new record deal and upcoming record label via a recently inked deal with Universal/Motown.

Company president Sylvia Rhone revealed that Kid Cudi’s upcoming debut album Man on the Moon: The Guardian will be released through his label Dream On, in conjunction with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint.

Universal Motown will also distribute Dream On, a new joint venture between Kid Cudi, his partners Emile and Plain Pat and West’s G.O.O.D. Music.

“Kid Cudi is at the vanguard of a game-changing new generation of artists,” Universal Motown President Sylvia Rhone said in a statement. “He crosses musical boundaries with an appeal that goes beyond genre, format, race, language, and culture. Cudi lives easily in the Hip-Hop, indie rock, pop, and R&B worlds – a diversity that shows in his innovative music and his all-embracing persona. He is a born storyteller who brings a positive, life-affirming message to his brilliant lyrical flow and compelling music. There are no clichés in what Cudi does. He is a breath of fresh air – a dynamic and important new voice, not only in the next phase of Hip-Hop, but as a groundbreaking trendsetter who represents the future. I am thrilled to welcome Kid Cudi into the Universal Motown family.”

The deal comes on the heels of the worldwide success of Kid Cudi’s single “Day’ N’ Nite,” as well as West’s hit single “Heartless," which Kid Cudi co-wrote.

Kid Cudi’s debut album Man on the Moon: The Guardian is due in stores this summer.

Kid Cudi is the artist that sits atop my list when it comes to contenders for hip-hop’s rookie of the year in 2009 . The Cleveland, Ohio native made a name for himself last year with his hit single “Day N Night” and his mixtape A Kid Named Cudi, but now he’s looking to become more a household name with the release of his debut album on Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music.

KANYE ATTACKS THE PAPS.... AGAIN!

Kanye West will not be charged with assaulting a photographer — in an alleged incident that went down yesterday in the UK. West was arrested at a hotel in Gateshead, England early Friday morning after allegedly getting into a tussle with a photog on his way out of the Tup Tup nightclub in Newcastle. After a short investigation, West was released from police custody without charges. FYI — The person alleging the assault made the same claim against a famous British soccer player around a month ago — but the charges unfounded in that case as well.

UPDATE: TMZ just spoke with the photog — who claims Kanye did, in fact, smash his face in around 2AM London time. According to the snapper, it all went down when Kanye was leaving the club with 4 girls, upset that he was being captured on film. After getting angry, Kanye allegedly got violent — shoving the camera into the snappers face, causing a cut on his nose.

It might be just me, but I can't wait for these pics to leak. LOL

Diddy speaks on how "inspired" he was after seeing Kanye West perform recently on the Glow in The Dark Tour made him fall in love with hip-hop all over again! The tour also features Rihanna ,Lupe Fiasco, as well as N.E.R.D. and raps up in Ye's native Chicago on May 23.

Olafur Eliasson Exhibit @ MoMA

A few weeks ago Kanye featured on his blog the Olafur Elliason Exhibit at New York's Museum of Modern Art. I got a chance to go check it out for myself yesterday and was quite impressed.

The exhibition is the first major survey of the artist in the United States and was previously featured at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The show features fifteen years of Eliasson's work in large scale installations that experiment with light, space and the elements. It runs until June 30th.

MTV's 10 Hottest Mc's List - Are You For Real???

MTV aired a show Monday on which they chose their picks for TOP 10 MC's alive today. I watched the show in its entirety and was left asking the question... Are You For Real???

The list was based on lyrics, swagger, skills, impact to the game and success (musical & entrepreneurial).
I don't totally disagree with the list - my major concern is the ordering. Like how in the hell is Rick Ross and Snoop higher than Lupe and 50 - and how did Andre 3000 even make the list. Dont get me wrong, dude is dope, but what was the last joint he put out? But I guess you cant be mad... its MTV.
