runway: MIGUEL ANTOINNE S/S 10 COLLECTION

I was thrilled to be able to look on as my friend, and emerging menswear designer Miguel Antoinne presented his Spring/Summer 2010 collection for New York Fashion Week. He is such a genius of his craft. I am always anxious to see just what he will come up with next.

In creating this collection, Miguel allowed himself to dream. Inspired by the picturesque beauty and calm of thunder and lightning, the designer pulled from abstract ideas and visuals to create his new collection.

For spring you can expect to find many elements of surprise in the collection. Blazers with inset lapels, cropped trousers designed to be adjusted to your desired length (shorter or longer) without losing the integrity of the style. Pebble washed cotton tanks with an asymmetrical design, and many new introductory design elements in shorts, and woven shirts.

As seen from Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2009 menswear show, the Amar Sunglasses is a unique overhaul to the classic aviator style which combines an innovative design and exquisite details. Amar features a removable lateral protection in the sides which forestalls dust and glare. The frame is made from acetate and brushed antiqued metal temples with Damier engraved detailing. The lenses are graduated and offers 100% UV protection. Amar is available at Louis Vuitton for approximately US$600.

A PREGNANT JOURDAN DUNN WILL HIT THE RUNWAY

Model Jourdan Dunn's comp card is included in Women modeling agency's show package for the spring 2010 season. This means the 19-year-old is hitting the casting circuit, even though she's five months pregnant with her boyfriend's child (word is she's having a boy). Oh, models. She must barely be showing, if at all. Like Gisele. We look forward to seeing her work it next week!
