Rapper Nas is set to join members of public policy advocate groups, ColorOfChange.org & MoveOn.org on Wednesday to deliver a petition of 620,127 signatures, to Fox Broadcasting Company in New York, demanding that the network end its pattern of racist attacks against Black Americans including presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
Over the span of several months, the Fox Network has had a string of ubiquitous racist epithets in attempt cast the Obamas as outsiders - you know, there own special way of delivering "Fair and Balanced" news. There was the on-screen graphic that referred to Mrs. Obama as “Obama’s baby mama,” then, a pundit so cleverly "confused” Obama with Osama and joked that they were both worthy of assassination. It doesn't stop there- in February, Bill O’Reilly talked about calling a “lynching party” to deal with Michelle and lastly, an anchor would call the loving fist bump between Barack and Michelle a “terrorist fist jab.”
Nas recently released a single and accompanying video entitled, Sly Fox, to bring light to Fox’s unprofessional antics. Check it out below:
