Yesterday I was absolutely devastated to learn of the tragic death of dear friend of mine, Eric Lamar Turner. He was killed in a horrific head-on highway collision on Monday morning during heavy rain on I-65 near Lafayette, Indiana. He was 23 years old. He was headed back to Indianapolis where he lived, after visiting friends in Chicago. Police say the car crossed the median, slammed into a semi-trailer head on and split into two pieces. All three occupants died immediately.
Eric and I met in the spring of 2004, during my year freshman year at Morehouse College. He was an incredible personality, with such a zest for life; fun-loving and very hardworking. I’ll cherish our memories, he will truly be missed. Rest In Peace, E.
