TEYANA TAYLOR TRANSFORMS FOR 18TH BIRTHDAY BASH

Last night Teyana Taylor celebrated her 18th birthday at Kush in NYC. I know you're all asking yourselves why I found this worthy of posting. However what I found noteworthy was the transformation that the Star Trak recording artist and Pharrell protege, underwent for her entrance into womanhood. Instead the regular retro-tomboy-BBC look she normally shoots for, she donned a form fitting Herve Leger dress and pumps. Hmmm. Maybe next she release another single. Dare I say... she cleans up quite nicely.

'MAKING THE BAND 4' PREMIERE PARTY

Last night, MTV’s “Making the Band 4″ Premiere Party took place at Guest House in New York City, NY. Above is a picture of party host Laurie Ann ' Boom Kat' Gibson, Dawn of Danity Kane and Teyana Taylor.

By the way, last night premiere of Making the Band 4 was a waste of everyone’s time! If Laurie Ann was not back on the show I think no one would have any interest in watching it! PERIOD!

P.S. I am starting to wonder if Teyana has transformed into a socialite because all she does is attend party after party after party and yet no music.

TEYANA TAYLOR ON DIESEL RUNWAY

The fashionistas at Diesel kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami with the launch of its first swimwear collection. The collection was sporty yet very functional, with splashes of cool ice blues and aquamarines.

Former Sweet Sixteener and Pharrell Williams protege, Teyana Taylor hit the runway & performed her new song Move. It was fun seeing her turn from frizzy-haired-tomboy draped in BBC and Ice Cream into frizzy- haired-tomboy in a smimsuit. (Oh, wait.) I'm actually looking forward to the release of her album, to see if she proves worthy of all the media attention she gets, but I guess I have to wait until early 2009 because it was pushed back due to the weak response from her lead single Google Me.

Events: The Stars Were Out in NYC Last Night

Rappers Naledge and Double-0 of Kidz in the Hall attend the 12th Annual Webby Awards/WeMix.com after party hosted by Ludacris last night at HIRO in the Maritime Hotel in New York. Other guests included stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe, and Travis McCoy.
Across town, Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum celebrated their birthday at Tenjune with John Legend, Red and Meth, Will.I.Am, Busta Ryhmes, and performance by Michelle Williams.

And at Spotlight Live in Times Square, Akon performed. Ne-Yo, Lil Kim, Teyana Taylor and Yung Berg came out to support.
