My Latest Obsession: Balenciaga Wood-Grain High-Top

I spent most of my time last week watching the clothes on the runway and didn't really pay attention to what was on the models' feet. I got a chance to zero in on some of the details however. Some of the shoes were particularly impressive, but these babies are like something right out of heaven. The wood-grain high-tops from Balenciaga are polished and an exactingly clean take on an idea you'd expect from a messier skate company. Simply amazing and totally chic!

ERYKAH BADU NEW FACE OF TOM FORD FRAGRANCE

Tom Ford's White Patchouli will breathe boutiques air when it debuts later this year and the campaign is lead by Erykah Badu, who was handpicked by Ford himself. Erykah looks radiantly beautiful in the ads. It was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and will begin appearing in fashion and lifestyle magazines in September.

KANYE WEST TO DESIGN SHOES FOR LOUIS VUITTON

It is a known fact to everyone that Kanye West is a big fan of Louis Vuitton, last Friday at the Louis Vuitton Spring 2009 menswear show in Paris’ he disclosed that he’s collaborating on a men’s shoe line for the brand.

And lest you thought he was making the rounds at the men's shows just to be seen — he was actually researching his highly-anticpated men's fashion line, Pastelle. He has also revealed the release of a women's line for fall.
