Celtics Make History in Claiming the NBA Title

They were unquestionably the best team during the regular season, winning 66 games, and unquestionably the best team in the NBA Finals. One 131-92 annihilation of the Los Angeles Lakers later, the Boston Celtics are your NBA champions.


The Celtics won their 17th title and first in 22 years behind an all-points assault on Kobe Bryant and Co. Kevin Garnett had 26 points, Ray Allen had 26, Paul Pierce had 17 and Rajon Rondo joined in with 21. The Celtics’ 39-point victory was the biggest in the history of the NBA, putting an exclamation point on a season to remember.
