ALEJANDRO INGELMO MATALLIC HI-TOP
I recently had a sneak preview of shoe designer Alejandro Ingelmo’s new line, and I must say I’m completely feeling for it. Ingelmo, who comes from a family with three generations of experience in the shoe trade (he has the vintage advertisements to prove it), has taken men’s dress shoes/sneakers and given them a post-industrial injection of shine and glam. In only two years he has created a signature look with his street-meets-fashion high-tops in metallic patent-leather colorways. This season he is also adding armorlike basket-weave gold and silver metallic insets into the straps and sides of wingtips
