'Where is London?' Amy Childs and Joey Essex try a career change on Daybreak

By ANDREA MAGRATH

Am I pointing to the right spot? After several geographical errors, Joey Essex finally points in the general direction of London during a visit to the Daybreak set today

Tasmin Lucia Khan and Lucy Verasamy don't need to start looking for new employment just yet.

The Daybreak newsreader and weather presenter were replaced (behind the scenes at least) this morning by The Only Way Is Essex stars Amy Childs and Joey Essex, who were earlier interviewed on the show.

But while the reality stars embraced the task enthusiastically, they had a little trouble mastering some of the geographical and current affairs knowledge required for the job.

Amy, 20, jumped into her newsreading role with gusto, giving the news anchor style of diction her best effort despite her thick Essex twang.

It wasn't long, though, before the beautician faltered, stopping to ask the crew 'What does that say?'

'That isn't reem': The club promoter struggled to locate various cities but kept his co-stars entertained with his efforts

To be fair, the name she was attempting to pronounce, that of Tenerife murderer Deyan Valentinov Deyanov, would be a tricky one for most people.

Miss Khan, who was filming Amy and put the videos on Twitter, can be heard telling her to 'carry on.'

Professional: Amy Childs fared better with her newsreading attempts, though did struggle with the pronunciation of some names

She also stumbled over Lib Dem cabinet minister Chris Huhne's name, but got very excited when she read on the autocue that Huhne faced allegations over a speeding offence in her home county, Essex.

Amy gave up altogether, though, when she saw she was to pronounce IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn's name.

Miss Childs fared better than her co-star Joey Essex, who put in a hysterical attempt at presenting the weather.

Tongue-twister: IMF head Dominique Strauss-Kahn's name proved too much for the beautician, who sat back and said 'I'm done'

The club promoter had Amy Childs and real weather presenter Lucy Verasamy in stitches as he struggled to point to the right points on the map.

Joey, 20, first pointed in the direction of Wales as he tried to communicate the London forecast, before pointing to Scotland when the crew corrected him.

The reality star was good natured as Tasmin Lucia Khan gave him a geography lesson, laughing at his ill-fated attempts.

When asked about the weather in Manchester, he replied: 'That's not reem,' a reference to his now-infamous catchphrase.

Breakout star: Joey appeared on Daybreak this morning with co-stars Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger

Model moment: The club promoter demonstrated his method of removing sunglasses

Tasmin and Lucy, perhaps safe in the knowledge that they won't be replaced any time soon, cheered on the Essex stars and later congratulated them on Twitter.

Tasmin wrote to Amy: 'Everyone here at Daybreak says you're covering the news for me...you're hired darl. Stay in touch x'

Joey stole the spotlight when he appeared on Daybreak earlier with co-stars Lauren Goodger and Amy Childs.

The trio were there to promote the reality show's inclusion in the BAFTA nominations.

'A thing of beauty': Christine Bleakley couldn't resist touching Joey's famous quiff

Arriving in style: Joey, Amy and Lauren stepped out of their pink limo at the ITV studios

Amy and Lauren confidently said they believed they had a great chance of toppling favourite Downton Abbey at the awards ceremony.

'It's the same innit?' Amy asked. 'Just a different era.'
Joey was oblivious to his competition though, innocently asking, 'What's Downton Abbey?'

Christine Bleakley then asked to touch his 'sculpted' hair which she exclaimed was a thing of beauty, before asking Joey to demonstrate his method for removing sunglasses and pouting, something immortalised on the show.

Not out of a job: Tasmin Lucia Khan found the reality stars efforts so amusing she filmed them and posted them to Twitter

Leave it to the pros: Weather presenter Lucy Verasamy won't be losing sleep over her potential replacement

Lauren Goodger, who had perhaps wisely sat out on her co-stars presenting attempts, also revealed that after the season two cliffhanger which saw her angrily push fiancé Mark Wright into a pool after he refused to let her come to a party he was hosting, that all was well between the couple.

'Two minutes later we went home and had tea and biscuits,' she said. 'But he deserved it, it felt good.'

Sisters on arms: TOWIE's Sam and Billie Faiers take other halves on double date...

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Sisters on arms: The siblings were joined by Sam's boyfriend Joey Essex and Billie's mystery man as they arrived at Sultan Turkish Restaurant in Bromley, southeast London for a Faiers family birthday party

Since launching their very own boutique together, The Only Way Is Essex sister act Sam and Billie Faiers seem to do everything together... now they even go on dates together.

The siblings were joined by Sam's boyfriend Joey Essex and Billie's new mystery man as they arrived at Sultan Turkish Restaurant in Bromley, southeast London for a Faiers family birthday party.

But the girls, who co-own Minnies boutique in their native Essex, wouldn't allow their men to cramp their style until the very last moment, arriving together in a sparkling new £60,000 BMW M3.

No vroom for boys: The girls, who co-own Minnies boutique in their native Essex, wouldn't allow their men to cramp their style until the very last moment, arriving together in a sparkling new £60,000 BMW M3

Inside the venue Sam, 20, and Billie, 21, ate heartily before taking to the dance floor to work it all off again. Billie even joined in with the belly dancer and appeared to be getting into the spirit of the party.

Hard-working Joey, however, had to leave early as he was travelling up north for a series of engagements.

An onlooker said: 'The four of them seemed to have a whale of a time, knocking back drinks and boogying on the dancefloor.

'Billie was especially loved up with her boyfriend and didn't care who saw them smooching quietly in the corner.'

X-Factor judge Dannii Minogue quits show 'because she can't fit it into her schedule'

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Quit: Dannii Minogue, next to Simon Cowell, collecting the award for Best Talent Show at the National Television Awards last October

X-Factor judge Dannii Minogue has left the show because she could not squeeze it into her busy schedule.

The 39-year-old singer has parted company with the popular ITV talent contest days before the new series was due to launch.

She posted a link through Twitter to a website which she is a contributing editor to, confirming the news.

Danni Minogue, left, next to Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell on the judging panel as top X-factor export Leona Lewis performs Bleeding Love

The Australian was quoted as saying: 'I am so disappointed that I can't be a part of The X-Factor this year.

'I'm going to miss the show and the amazing team who work so incredibly hard on it.'
X-Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell have already quit to take part in the U.S. version of the show - although Cowell will be a huge presence behind the scenes in the UK - and Take That's Gary Barlow has been lined up as a replacement.

Kylie's sister began filming the fifth series of Australia's Got Talent at the start of the year and is scheduled to return in a couple of weeks to continue with the semi and grand finals.

Success: Last year's winning judge Dannii with Matt Cardle who won the show's prize

'For this reason I am unable to return. I want to wish the new judges every success for this year's show, and can't wait to see who the British public choose as their next big star.

'Thanks to everyone who has shown me so much love and support, and brought me so much joy during my four incredible years working on the show.'

Dannii started on the X Factor in 2007 but revealed in her autobiography last year that she was made to feel undermined by former judge Sharon Osbourne who resente3d her being there.

The X-judges: Louis Walsh, Dannii Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell. Only Louis Walsh will remain on next year's panel along with Take That's Gary Barlow. The other two positions are yet to be filled

Tulisa Contostavlos, from the band N-Dubz, has been in talks with X-Factor bosses to fill one of the vacant seats on the panel, according to a source close to the show.

The move is not connected with Minogue's departure however, the source stressed.

He said: 'Everyone on the show has met her, and they loved her. She's the real deal. She's not a reality TV creation, she's created herself.'

The singer from north London also fits 'the right age demographic', he added.

Britain's Got Talent's Ant and Dec invade stage for first time

By JODY THOMPSON

Not to be beaten: The Highwaymen were actually on their way out of the competition after getting two 'nos' from the judges - before Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly intervened

There were unprecedented scenes on Britain's Got Talent tonight when hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly stormed the stage and demanded that the judges rethink their decisions.

Drumming troupe The Highwaymen - all ex and current servicemen who had fought in the likes of Afghanistan - had wowed the crowd at the Glasgow auditions with their rousing rhythmic routine which finished with light-up drumsticks while all dressed like Dick Turpin.

However, they failed to impress all the judges, with only David Hasselhoff voting them through - but with Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre choosing to press their red 'no' buttons, meaning that the men were not being put through to the next round - to the disbelief of Ant and Dec and deafening boos from the audience.

Unprecedented: Ant takes the stage to talk to the audience while Dec appeals to the judges' to reconsider their decisions over The Highwaymen - something the pair have never done before on Britain's Got Talent

It's a hold up: Judges Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre turn to see the audience's reaction to the act, as David Hasselhoff, who voted yes, has a drink

A clearly angry Ant and Dec then stormed onto the stage to ask the judges to rethink their decisions with Dec telling the panel: 'We think you've made a mistake' - to the delight of the crowd.

As Ant and Dec explained that the purpose of Britain's Got Talent was to find the most entertaining act in the country and that the drummers had clearly entertained the audience, a clearly discombobulated Amanda then turned to the stalls and said: 'You are the fourth judge, we are listening to you and we will continue to listen to you and we withdraw our "nos".'

There was then wild cheering amongst the audience - as well as The Highwaymen - as they realised the drumming act was now going through.

Smooth moves: Two And A Half Men landed a standing ovation from the crowd as well as Amanda Holden

Ant said: 'We've never done that before over any of the act, but we had to do that.

Meanwhile, other eye-popping acts on tonight's show included Britney Spears impersonator Lorna Bliss - who almost bared all in her bid to get put through.

She performed Toxic in her see-through bodystocking that left nothing to the imagination - and even jumped onto the judges desk.to writhe around, giving The Hoff a close-up view of her nipples.

Unfortunately, she couldn't really sing and got voted off.

Hopeful: Britney Spears impersonator Lorna Bliss failed to get through tonight because despite looking like the star she couldn't actually sing like her

Before performing for the audience, Lorna explained she was no stranger to drastically changing her appearance to copy Britney.

She said: 'The wigs, dental treatments, facials... if she tightens up, I tighten up; if she puts on a bit of weight, I'm like 'Hey. Pizza Hut, let's go'.

'When Britney shaved her hair off, I did it too. I've basically dedicated my whole being to being Britney.

Impressive: John Evans impresses Michael McIntrye as he balances trugs weighing 18 stone on his head

The two Jays: Jai McDowall (left) and suited and booted Jay were both hoping for a place on the final

Other contestants on tonight's show included John Evans, who shows off a talent for stacking buckets on his head.

The retired builder tried to impress the judges by keeping 20 trugs aloft, weighing 18 stone, and reckons his skill is unique.

Evans, a 64-year-old diabetic from Derbyshire with one eye, also gyrated to Survivor's Eye Of The Tiger and slapped his belly while showing off his unusual talent.

Favourites: Variety act Circus of Horrors are already hotly tipped to win the show

Tight fit: The Circus Of Horrors finale saw a contortionist squeeze herself into a bell jar

He developed his skill to help him on building sites, using his head to carry more bricks than he could fit in a hod.

He said: 'I developed this technique where I could stack 20 bricks, lift them up and put them on my head and run up the ladders all day long.

'Nobody else in the world can do what I do.'

And judge Michael McIntyre was intrigued to see more, saying: 'I can't deny that I am desperate to see you balance more things on your head.'

Popular freak show Circus Of Horrors has already been tipped as a possible winner of the competition by bookies.

The troupe - featuring contortionists, a sword swallower and limbo dancing under a flaming pole - proved to be a hot favourite with the judges.

'I want to go to a party with you guys,' enthused judge David Hasselhoff.

Crazy: Wachiraporn from Thailand performs an air hostess routine to the soundtrack of Scooch

Also on the show is machine operator Wachiraporn who pretended to be a flight attendant while performing to Eurovision flop Flying The Flag by Scooch.

McIntyre tells her: 'I think there's room on this competition for something completely insane.'

There were also a team of skateboarders - one of whom was sick mid routine - Stuart Arnold the Enterterminator, who had dressed as the Arnold Schwarzenegger character The Terminator while singing in different musical styles and Hot Pot Theatre who did a synchronised shopping trolley dance.

Hot favourites with the crowd however were dancing trio Two And A Half Men, who landed a standing ovation from both the audience and Amanda.

Glee's Dianna Agron flaunts her newly cropped blonde hair as she celebrates the season's end

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

I love my new hair! A delighted Dianna Agron leaves a salon in West Hollywood today

She is known for her trademark tumbling blonde locks playing Quinn Fabray on the hit TV show Glee.

But it appears Dianna Agron has long been eager to try a much shorter style.

And after celebrating the end of Season Two by slashing off her hair, the 24-year-old appeared delighted with her newly short locks today.

Time for a change: The actress lopped off her hair when filming concluded

Flicking her hair around her head, a smiling Dianna left the salon after dropping back in this morning.

She shared a video of her haircut on her official Tumblr account.

'Is this going to be too short?' her hairdresser is seen asking her in the clip.
'No, I don't think so. Do you guys think so?' she asked her fans.

After the stylist has gone to work snipping inches off the starlet's hair, Dianna is clearly ecstatic.

'I'm so happy!' she screams.

Black and white beauty: Celebrity photographer Tyler Shields captured Dianna's haircut just after she'd had the chop

She wrote: 'Season 2 wrap. A remedy to the seven-year itch. Finally!'

Last month, the Glee gang were spotted filming final scenes for this season's finale in New York.

The big chop: After wrapping Season Two of hit show Glee, Agron shared a video of her getting her hair cut with fans

One happy customer: Dianna was clearly ecstatic with the stylist's work

Led by Lea Michele, who plays Rachel, the ladies danced their way round Washington Square Park.

And they looked like they were having a great time as they skipped and tapped and sang their hearts out.

Lea, 24, was joined by her female co-stars, Dianna, Ashley Fink, who plays Lauren, Heather Morris, who plays Brittany, and Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina.

Wrapping up: The Glee gang including Dianna, pictured left, were spotted filming final scenes for this season's finale at the end of last month in New York

Also in the line-up were Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, and Amber Riley, who stars as Mercedes.

All wore brightly-coloured clothes which stood out in the spring sunshine as they danced round the famous arch and across the park.

They were joined by their male co-stars Corey Monteith, who plays Finn, Kevin McHale who plays Artie, Mark Salling, who plays Puck, Harry Shum Jnr, who plays Mike, Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt, and Chord Overstreet who plays Sam.

Outdoor shoot: The cast pose for a picture during filming

And they soon became the centre of attention as scores of fans, tourists and curious onlookers stopped to watch them filming.

The cast were in Big Apple for some time, as they shot scenes which will show the New Directions Glee club head to Manhattan for a competition.

They spent several days in the same clothes but they have managed a few other wardrobe changes for scenes filmed in Central Park and outside the jewellers Tiffany's.

'It was so difficult': Fergie reveals her hurt over Royal Wedding snub

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Hurt: Sarah Ferguson told Oprah Winfrey she watched the Royal Wedding on television from Thailand

Sarah Ferguson has spoken for the first time about the House of Windor's decision to not invite her to last month's royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Duchess of York, 51, instead went to Thailand where she watched the coverage on television.

'So difficult': Fergie was disappointed she couldn't join her daughters Eugenie and Beatirce at the ceremony

She was disappointed she wasn't able to accompany her daughters, Princess Beatrice, 22, and Eugenie, 21, who attended the wedding with their father Prince Andrew.

'I was not invited,' Ferguson, 51, who was caught up in a scandal last year after she was taped offering access to Prince Andrew for $724,000, said on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

In contact: The 51-year-old said she spoke to her ex-husband Prince Andrew throughout the day

'I went through the phase of feeling so totally worthless and that [it] was quite right they didn't invite me. Why would they - why would they invite me?'

'I chose to go and be in Thailand in a place called Camelia... the jungle embraced me,' she explained.

Ferguson revealed she was in contact with her former husband, whom she married at Westminster Abbey in 1986, throughout the day.

'When Andrew went with the girls, we were talking all morning and he was saying, "It's okay. Just remember we had such a good day. Our wedding was so perfect." Because we're such a unit together. He made me feel very part of the day on April the 29th.'

Royal affair: Fergie said Diana would be 'so proud of her son'

Ferguson is to have a show on Winfrey's new cable station, OWN.
Her interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show will air in the U.S. tomorrow.

J-Low indeed! Jennifer Lopez dazzles in revealing fairy dress

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Looking all white: Jennifer Lopez slips into a flattering white dress for her appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno

After a disastrous chart reception last year, the pressure is high for Jennifer Lopez to perform with the release of her new album.

Which is perhaps why the pop diva opted for a rather attention-grabbing dress as she continued to promote her seventh LP, Love?

The 41-year-old American Idol judge slipped into a revealing, low-cut white fairy dress for her appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night.

Promotional blitz: The singer was plugging her album Love? which is not expected to chart particularly highly in the U.S. tomorrow

While her album has already bagged No.6 in the UK this weekend, the singer is yet to chart on the American Billboard 200 album chart, which is revealed on Tuesday.

And according to early indications, the singer is only expected to shift 60,000 copies this week in the U.S. - a lacklustre number for the American market.

If she got closer to the 250,000 mark she could well secure herself a No.1 - but her current sales are nothing to sing about.

Brave face: The American Idol judge chats with host Leno

Her album Love? already has a troubled history.

It was originally due for release in January 2010. But when her lead single Louboutins flopped, Lopez and Sony Music parted ways.

J-Lo later signed with Def Jam, which saw Love resurrected.

The new lead hit, On The Floor, was received well, having shifted around 1.6m downloads.

It secured the No.1 spot in the British charts and No.5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Blast from the past: J-Lo squealed with embarrassment as she was forced to swatch herself in her first ever dancing job in 1991

During the interview with Leno, J-Lo was left red faced as she was forced to swatch herself in footage of her first ever dancing job.

The singer buried her face in her hands and screamed as Jay Leno played footage of her as a back-up dancer to New Kids on the Block.

The footage was from the American Music Awards in 1991 and featured Lopez dancing enthusiastically behind the band.

Too saucy? Never! Britain's Got Talent troupe Girls Roc promise there's 'much more to come'

By SARAH BULL

New celebrities: Girls Roc, along with team leader Nicola Wills (far right), pose outside the ITV studios after being interviewed on This Morning

They stunned the Britain's Got Talent judges on Saturday night with their mixture of fire-breathing, aerial tricks and sexy dancing.

But, despite many complaining Girls Roc's act was too saucy to air pre-watershed, the troupe have insisted they have no intention of toning things down, and promised there's 'much more to come'.

The group made their promises during an interview on This Morning today, where they made the most of their new-found celebrity status by posing sexily for photographers outside the ITV studios.

Posing up: Girls Roc show off their best poses as photographers clamber to get the most exciting shots of the troupe

So exciting! Nicola told Phillip Schofield and Ruth Langsford the group were more excited about appearing on This Morning than on Britain's Got Talent

Slippery friend: Schofield got up close and personal with the girls' snake Slinky Sebastian on the show

Asked on This Morning how the group had formed, Nicola said: 'About a year ago I got an opportunity to put something together and we were all friends anyway and we thought why don't we use what we have and develop it using fire skills and using different props that we have and put together a troop and we did.... We've had a few accidents with hair setting on fire!'

When the Britain's Got Talent judges asked Nicola what makes a 'Girls Roc girl', she replied: 'First of all, they've got to be exceptionally hot.

'They've got to have the attitude, no wimps. We know we're good at what we do. We want to show everyone. This is it. This is where it all begins.'

Controversial: Many deemed the group's performance on Saturday night too saucy for the pre-watershed slot

While McIntyre labelled the girls' audition 'a bit too much', fellow judge Amanda Holden argued that it was 'just right'.

She said: 'Girls, I love girls that are naughty. I think that it was dangerous. I think it was well put together.

'It was exciting. There was something for everybody. You've all got great bottoms. I thought you brought something different.'
