President Barack Obama Opens Up About The Mission That Led To Killing Terrorist Osama Bin Laden

Last week, President Obama accomplished taking down the most wanted terrorist in America Osama Bin Laden.
In his first interview since the death of Bin Laden, President Obama sat down with 60 Minutes correspondent Steve Kroft to discuss the mission that led to the killing of al Qaeda leader, his fears and greatest concerns, as well as taking everything in while keeping his cool at the White House Correspondents dinner.
Check out the interview below:
On the decision to have Osama Bin Laden killed:
As nervous as I was about this whole process, the one thing I didn’t lose sleep over was the possibility of taking bin Laden out. Justice was done. And I think that anyone who would question that the perpetrator of mass murder on American soil didn’t deserve what he got needs to have their head examined.
“I made the decision Thursday night, informed my team Friday morning, and then we flew off to look at the tornado damage. To go to Cape Canaveral, to make a commencement speech. And then we had the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night. So this was in the back of my mind all weekend.”
During the course of the weekend, you know, there was no doubt that this was weighin’ on me. But, you know, something I said during the campaign that I’ve learned over and over again in this job is the Presidency requires you to do more than one thing at a time. And it is important for you to be able to focus on somethin’ that matters deeply to you, but still be able to do the things on a daily basis that are makin’ a difference in people’s lives.
On Keeping the Mission Private:
“I didn’t tell most people here in the White House. I didn’t tell my own family. It was that important for us to maintain operational security… If I’m not revealing to some of my closest aides what we’re doing then I sure as heck am not going to be revealing it to folks who I don’t know.”
On His Fear & Concerns For The United States:
“If I’m sending those guys in and Murphy’s Law applies and something happens, can we still get our guys out?[...]As outstanding a job as our intelligence teams did… at the end of the day, this was still a 55/45 situation. I mean, we could not say definitively that bin Laden was there. My number one concern was: can our guys get in and get out safely?[...]You think about Black Hawk Down. You think about what happened with the Iranian rescue. And I am very sympathetic to the situation for other Presidents where you make a decision, you’re making your best call, your best shot, and something goes wrong — because these are tough, complicated operations… the day before, I was thinking about this quite a bit.”
On Why He Decided Not to Release Bin Ladens Death Photo:
It is important for us to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence. As a propaganda tool. You know, that’s not who we are. You know, we don’t trot out this stuff as trophies. You know, the fact of the matter is this was somebody who was deserving of the justice that he received. And I think Americans and people around the world are glad that he’s gone. But we don’t need to spike the football. And I think that given the graphic nature of these photos, it would create some national security risk. And I’ve discussed this with Bob Gates and Hillary Clinton and my intelligence teams and they all agree.
On The Decision To Bury Bin Laden At Sea:
It was a joint decision. We thought it was important to think through ahead of time how we would dispose of the body if he were killed in the compound. And I think that what we tried to do was, consulting with experts in Islamic law and ritual, to find something that was appropriate that was respectful of the body.
Frankly we took more care on this than, obviously, bin Laden took when he killed 3,000 people. He didn’t have much regard for how they were treated and desecrated. But that, again, is somethin’ that makes us different. And I think we handled it appropriately.

New Music: Beyonce – God Bless The USA

Today, as President Obama made a visit to Ground Zero to pay respect to the victims of 9/11, Beyonce has released a cover of “God Bless America”, which was previously recorded but never released during the 2008 Presidential Campaign.

Take a listen to the song below:

George Bush Refuses to Go on Ground Zero with President Obama

President Barack Obama will make his first trip to New York City’s Ground Zero site today May 5 , in honor of Osama Bin Laden‘s recent assassination, despite the absence of one key V.I.P. — Former president George W. Bush!

The former president, who led the hunt for Bin Laden following the horrendous attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001, respectfully declined Obama’s invite.
According to Bush’s spokesman David Sherzer:
“He appreciated the invite, but has chosen in his post-presidency to remain largely out of the spotlight.”
What do you  guys think? Did Bush totally just diss Obama, or was he right to refuse the invite?

The Day Donald Trump Became Obama's clown!...LOL!

Who knew the President had jokes?  On Saturday, while seated at the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Donal Trump found himself on the receiving end of a stream of jokes from President Barack Obama During the two minute spectacle, the audience laughed as the President jokingly talked about the ‘birth certificate” debacle and hoping that Donald could get back to the issues that matter, using “Biggie and Tupac” as an example.
“Donald Trump is here tonight! Now I know that he’s taken some flack lately, but no one is as happy, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than ‘The Donald,’ and that’s because he can get back to focusing on the issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?”
All kidding aside, obviously, we all know about your credentials and breath of experience. For example, just recently, on an episode of The Celebrity Apprentice at the steakhouse, the men’s cooking team did not impress the judges from Omaha Steaks. You, Mr. Trump, recognized that the real problem was a lack of leadership. So ultimately, you didn’t blame Lil Jon or Meatloaf, you fired Gary Busey. These are the kinds of decisions that would keep me up at night.
Well-handled, sir. Well-handled
Clearly those decisions are as hard as the decisions that The President has to make on a daily basis. *inserts the President’s sarcasm*
The President ended his roast with, “Say what you want about Mr. Trump, he certainly would bring some “change” to the White House, before showcasing this photo on the big screen.

hahahahahah! Hillarious1 thats all i can say for now....This is one i could not have wished to miss...and i would not have you miss it either...oh! Am so luvin Obama like am luvin my girls...hmnn...

Jerry Seinfeld Pulls out of Donald Trupms Charity Event Cos of Nageative Remarks against Obama

Donald Trump and Jerry Seinfeld 580x435 Jerry Seinfeld Disses Donald Trump Over Obama Bashing: Not That Theres Anything Wrong With That
Billionaire mogul Donald Trump is not the biggest fan of comedian Jerry Seinfeld after the former television star reportedly pulled out from an event appearance for the Donald’s son’s charity.

Seinfeld was scheduled to attend a September 13 event for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Eric Trump Foundation, but he canceled. According to reports, Jerry bailed based on Trump’s remarks about President Obama, which didn’t sit well with The Donald for a variety of reasons.

“I just learned you canceled a show for my son’s charity,” Donald Trump wrote to Seinfeld in an open letter, accusing him of backing out simply: “Because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader.”
Trump, who is considering a 2012 presidential run, didn’t stop there. “We don’t care that you broke your commitment,” he continued, “Even though the children of St. Jude are very disappointed, and despite the fact that your manager previously and clearly stated you are ‘truly a man of his word.’”
Trump then took a shot at Seinfeld’s NBC show, ‘The Marriage Ref.’

“What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, ‘The Marriage Ref,’ even though I thought it was absolutely terrible. Despite its poor ratings, I didn’t cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did.”

A rep for Seinfeld said he agreed to appear at the event before Trump began questioning the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate. However, “Jerry has grown increasingly uncomfortable” with the ‘Apprentice’ head honcho. “Jerry … feels this kind of demagoguery has no place in public discourse,” said the rep. “He has respectfully withdrawn from the event, but is making a contribution both to the Eric Trump Foundation and to [St. Jude].”

Rocking legend Bret Micheals is slated to fill Seinfeld’s place, the rocker said in a statement. “Donald Trump and his family have been wonderful to me and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital is one of my favorite charities, so I’m honored to have been asked by Eric and the rest of the Trump family to be a part of this event,” he said.

“We should never allow the spirit of generosity to be overshadowed by divisive political beliefs,” Bret added in a dig at Seinfeld, “and when it comes to saving the life of a child, there is absolutely no room for political rhetoric.”

SMH … celebrities and their egos now-a-days.
