Yes, but your point was that Apple will fail like other manufactures if they introduce different form factors. That isn't the case with the iPod selection.
Your point doesn't really hold much ground.
I think it does, all other manufactures are spitting out models every month and Apple has two models that they sell every year and they sell more then these other manufactures. Why change that? Can Apple succeeded at selling more models when nobody else can?

At 2am ET my AT&T iPhone 3GS fell back to 1am instead of jumping forward to 3am. Now, it is saying 10:14am when it should be saying 11:14am. So, still broke. It is set to "set automatically" in preferences for date and time.

It would be great if we could also have possibly have a team overtake, and who may overtake our team. In addition, something showing the day-to-day output of the team.

So I got an offer in the mail for a free Microcell. Just picked it up, no hassle or anything. My condo had horrible reception, but now its all good. Anyone else?
I live in the Haight District in San Francisco.
I've been trying to get one as well, who'd you send your e-mails to?

Well, music and Sony. ;)
I'd love to see RATM win just for the fun of it, but I reckon the fact that Joe's single is going on sale in shops will win it. Killing in the Name was out in 1992? There won't be any physical copies to buy, and that'll make all the difference...

My question though is how is this any different then having multiple TVs on your cable account? You can only watch TV on your account when your in your own home and on your own WiFi. Time warner took some pretty big steps to make sure you can't "steal" cable... It is a pretty secure app.
I am just wondering why Viacom and others are bitching? Its just like going in the other room and watching it on the other TV... Doesn't allow you to watch TV away from home..
iPad is not Nielsen enabled. if people use the iPad app then the content owners don't know who's watching what and they can't scam more money out of the cable companies every few years.
the way the business is set up is revenues from cable customers and adds based on nielsen numbers

Edit to add:
Here is a great little one page explanation of EF vs EF-s (http://jefflynchdev.wordpress.com/2009/01/10/understanding-canons-ef-s-lenses/). I quote from it:
Which, once again, agrees with me.
Go back and re-read ALL the posts. You will see that I never claim that a 50mm EF lens and 50MM EF-S lens have different focal lengths. They do have different EFFECTIVE focal lengths, dependent on the camera sensor size being used, as your quote agrees.

As a mechanical engineer, I'm not exactly cynical about this application of Eneco's technology, but I remain very, very skeptical. With such a relatively small temperature difference, I would say it is very unlikely that such a device would be economically feasible. A quick visit to Eneco's site shows me that they don't even have lab data for temperature differences of less than 100 deg C!
They obfuscate the issue of efficiency by referring to the Carnot efficiency to inflate the numbers to the uninitiated. Sadi Carnot showed that an ideal heat engine that operated between two infinite reservoirs at temperatures, T(hot) and T(cold) would have an efficiency of ( T(hot)-T(cold) ) / T(hot), and the temperatures have to be on an absolute scale like Kelvin or Rankine. The "Carnot efficiency" compares the performance of the system in question to this ideal heat engine.
Suppose you ran your chip at a very warm 90 deg C (363 K) and could dump the heat to your 25 deg C (298 K) room, your perfect efficiency would be about 18%! This means that for every 5W of heat you dissipate from the chip, you get a little less that 1 W of electric power. Something with an impressive-sounding 50% Carnot efficiency would really have a measly 9% real efficiency.
Unless Eneco sells these things very cheaply and makes them very small, I can't see Apple going through the trouble and expense of adding them to their portables for such a small benefit in recycled power. I remain skeptical, yet open-minded.
Finding efficiency data for temperatures below 100C would be important since the max junction temperature for most processors is below that. Power supply devices max out at about 150C. You just can't get hotter than that and expect silicon to function as a semiconductor.
If the Intel chips burn 100W, then 9% conversion efficiency would generate 9W of electricity. In absolute terms, that's not too bad. You can do a lot with 9W. If you have a 5 hour battery life now, and can use these on all the major power sinks, you'd get 5.5 hours of battery life.
(Those are big "if"s, but putting them in bold seemed a bit too cynical...)
Interesting, but not earth shattering yet... If this became widespread though and we could cut world energy consumption by 10%-- that would be a big deal. Personally, I think there's more to be gained in cars (hotter and less efficient to begin with) than computers, but who knows.

Unfortunately iDisk is as slow as buggery, and always has been. Apple have done nothing to improve performance.
From my experience, it's the Finder that's slow, not iDisk. I access my iDisk (the few times I need to) from Transmit and it is very fast.
I have .Mac, and I know that, but if you just want Mail you still pay the full wack!!
If you want just the email account then yes, .Mac is not worth it. That's the point. .Mac is more than email, and if you want an email address, get Gmail and hook it up into Mail.app....

Are there options to enable Open Directory Services, NFS, Software Update Server, XGRID? Also, are the Server Admin and Workgroup Manager tools included or replaced with something else?
I'm reading mixed things all over the web on what's gone and what isn't.
Thanks.
Il get some screen shot up for you in the hour.
There are options for software update server, (im sure but might be wrong that there are some improvements on this for server and clients). theres the xgrid manager (haven't got it set-up)
Didn't notice NFS and believe it or not but am totally confused with the OD Service, I carnt find an option/setting for it but it has to be there.

Every update I see people come on Apple Discussions claim that the update fried their computer. Nothing can be farther from the truth. Without certain precautions data corruption, directory issues, font issues, incompatible drivers, will make an update look bad on the surface. That's why I wrote this FAQ to prevent most upgrade problems. Please everyone take a look at it before you upgrade and decide for yourself when you are ready and finished with those precautions:

I'm so glad everyone is being so cheery, to lighten the mood of general anaesthesia anxiousness. (wow! I spelled it right, without opening dictionary.app!)
I had a bad experience with it though. My Anesthesiologist was a WACKO. He pushed in the needle too quickly, and injected it wayyyy too quickly. My arm was frozen, yet on fire at the same time. It didn't help that HE WAS LEANING ON IT! So, my arm was frozen/burning, and then when he got off my arm, I immediately got a really bad headache, and started to have palpitations. (I think being on my arm unintentional, his belly just kind of landed there. I couldn't get it off because both of my arms were tied down. That didn't stop it from being annoying, though!)
....but I'm 100% certain he's been fired now (you DON'T freak me out that bad and get away with it. Even though I was 13 when I had my surgery, I still knew who to complain to.. MUAHAHAHA)
SO, You'll have a pretty good time with it.
the 2nd time I went down, the doctor was AWESOME. (I guess that's the diff. between the urology dept. and the cardiology dept. at Texas Children's) She didn't lean on my arm, and injected it slowly, so I went to sleep gradually, not IMMEDIATELY with a headache.
...I did wake up 10 minutes before it was done, though. I could see, but I couldn't say anything. I'm glad that it was just tubes, and no scalpels!
Good luck iGary! Just remember to email everyone a memo, a'la Steve.
PS: I'm sending this from my hospital bed using my 17-inch PowerBook and an Airport Express. (http://www.thinksecret.com/news/jobsmemo.html)
I hope you get well soon!!

If Verizon was not CDMA I think we would of seen a Verizon iPhone. I just don't think Apple really wants to mess with two different models of the phone.
disagree with you in England iphone is sell by 5 companies
I really hope T-Mobile isn't chosen...I had them for a year and a half and what horrible customer service. Not to mention that their coverage in Palm Springs, CA is horrible. Apple should go with Verizon, I did go with AT&T myself, but Verizon is rated highest of all the carriers for customer satisfaction and coverage.
I wish that more companies will sell the iphone in the US so at&t will not act as a monopoly DO YOU RIMMBER some 20 years ago at&t was broken out by the goverment because of monopoly lows? I thing its time to do it again

There's a lot more going on here than I thought at first glance. There's not only the contrast between the bright flowers and the dark background, which is what I noticed first, but there's also the contrast between the front and the back of the flowers and thirdly red and green are on opposite sides of the colour wheel. Well done JD!
I went out to make use of the first bit of sunshine I've seen for ages:
