Obama Draws Tremendous Crowd- Makes History in Oregon
Presidential hopeful Barack Obama held a rally on Saturday in Portland, Oregon drawong a crowd of around about 75,000 people - the largest crowd for a rally in Presidential campaign history!
Obama told reporters that after the Oregon primary on Tuesday, he will have a "majority of pledged delegates at that point and that’s a pretty significant mark.”
When asked if that means he will declare victory on Tuesday, hr said “it doesn’t mean we declare victory because I won’t be the nominee until we have enough, a combination of both pledged delegates and superdelegates to hit the mark.”
He did however add that "what it does mean is that voters have given us the majority of delegates that they can assign. And that is obviously what this primary and caucus process is about."
