Ramírez was traded to the Chicago Cubs with outfielder Kenny Lofton on July 23, 2003. Ramírez finished the 2003 season strong in Chicago, though he led the majors with 33 errors at third base. The Cubs made the playoffs and defeated the Atlanta Braves before being beaten by eventual World Series champions the Florida Marlins in the seven-game 2003 National League Championship Series. During Game 4 of the NLCS, Ramírez made Cubs history. In the first inning, Ramírez hit the first grand slam in the playoffs in Cubs history off Marlins starter Dontrelle Willis. Ramírez probably was the best Cubs player during the NLCS, hitting 3 home runs, driving in 7 RBIs, and hitting a triple in Game 1.

Aramis Ramirez Ready To Hits The Ball

Ramirez activated his 14 million dollar contract on November 3 of 2010 to stay on with the team in the 2011 season.

People.com Editor Shares Her Story: " I was Born A Boy"

On the surface, Janet Mock is a pretty, vivacious 28-year-old who seems like she’s got a good head on her shoulders. Born and raised in Honolulu, Janet went on to receive a full-ride scholarship to the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She continued her education, going on to receive a Master’s Degree from New York University, and accepted a job as the Associate Editor for PEOPLE.com. She currently is living her dream, residing in New York with her boyfriend whom she claims she’s completely in love with.
Her story sounds very normal, not unlike thousands of others. The only difference is, Janet was born male. She lived as Charles for the first 18 years of her life, until she took a trip to Bangkok where she risked her life and put her future in the hands of a Thai surgeon who completed her gender reassignment surgery.
Janet recently opened up to Marie Claire about her transition and the obstacles she faced as both a child and adult. She’s also written about her first experiences with make-up, how her first best friend was the female version of herself, what it was like to go through two puberties and how she hopes sharing her story will help others that are struggling with gender identity.

She writes on her website:

“As puberty began to hit in middle school, my body began to change, betraying Janet. It was difficult living in a body that did not reflect me at my best self, and it became the central drama of my first 18 years.
During the eighth grade, I began incorporating cosmetics (Lipsmackers, Wet N Wild eyeliner, CoverGirl compacts) into my beauty regimen. I was teased, taunted and targeted for this gender variance, but my accomplishments and involvement in school soon overshadowed my non-conformity. By freshman year, I was dressing as my female self and was soon known as Janet through the halls of my high school in Kalihi, a tough part of Honolulu..
But writing about famous people only allowed me to express a minutiae of my talents. My wakeup call to a higher purpose came in the fall of 2010. It was apparent that being different (whether you were gay or transgender, overweight or rail-thin, dark or albino) was a matter of life or death. I knew that writing my memoir Fish Food in silence was no longer an option. I had to speak up.”
She reflected on her interview with Marie Claire, saying:
“After a lot of hard work, planning and sacrifice, 18-year-old Janet traveled across the world, where at the hands of a Thai surgeon, I united my body to my soul, and finally became the physical embodiment of the woman of my dreams.
The majority of transwomen and transmen have to endure two puberties: their biological one and the corrective one they know is absolutely necessary in order to go on. I did not go through this. Gratefully, with the support of my family, I was able to experience my transition as my peers in school were also going through their physiological changes in puberty.
But I do wish I could change one thing in the piece: the term “boy” which is used a few times. Overall I’m fine with it because technically I was a “boy,” but two instances still don’t feel right. The first instance proclaims, “Until she was 18, Janet was a boy,” and then it goes on to say, “I even found other boys like me there…” Though I did not write the article, it is written in my voice from a four-hour interview and follow-up correspondences. But the surgery did not make me a girl. The surgery just got rid of my male parts. I was always a girl.
Being female was my one and only conviction.”
Janet’s memoir, Fish Food, hit shelves soon.

Charles Barkley Says Everybody In The NBA Has 'Played Out' With Gay Teammates

Basketball legend Charles Barkley who is known for being outspoken, and he recently opened up about gay players in the NBA during a recent interview.

Charles stated that he has played with many gay players in the past during his career in the NBA:

“First of all, every player has played with gay guys. It bothers me when I hear these reporters and jocks get on TV and say: ‘Oh, no guy can come out in a team sport. These guys would go crazy.’ First of all, quit telling me what I think. I’d rather have a gay guy who can play than a straight guy who can’t play.
“Any professional athlete who gets on TV or radio and says he never played with a gay guy is a stone-freakin’ idiot. I would even say the same thing in college. Every college player, every pro player in any sport has probably played with a gay person.”
He also spoke on if there was ever a problem in the locker room or having to shower with a gay teammate:
“A guy is never going to put himself in that situation in a professional locker room. It never crossed my mind, and I never felt any different about the guy. They’re not going to do anything in the locker room. Doesn’t work like that.”
And went on to say:
“First of all, society discriminates against gay people. They always try to make it like jocks discriminate against gay people. I’ve been a big proponent of gay marriage for a long time, because as a black person, I can’t be in for any form of discrimination at all.”
“We gossiped behind each other’s back before; I’ll be the first to admit that. The first people who whine and complain is them Bible-thumpers, who are supposed to be non-judgmental, who rail against them. I don’t worry about what other people do.”
And this is why I like Charles Barkley because he keeps it real & tell it like it is…..

Did Beyonce Use A Body Double In New Video?

According to a rumours currently flooding the web from someone who wishes to remain anonymous, Beyonce could have possibly used a body double in her new video for “Who Run The World (Girls)”. In the scene, that takes place from the 1:05 – 1:43 mark, Beyonce is dancing with two african dancers, however her head appears to be on someone else’s body.

Whether she used one or not is debatable (I’d seriously need my glasses to determine this) but it raises the question of would I look at the video any different if I found out that she wasn’t the one dancing. I personally think she slayed in the video but I am a huge fan and I’ll openly admit that :)

Take a peek for yourself:

Britney Spears made news last month after she was accused of using a body double in her latest music video, ‘Til The World Ends’. The Dancer was believed to be Britney’s choreographer’s assistant Tiana Brown who was used as a replacement in some of the high impact and dance scenes.

Remember That $25 Million Dollar Reward That Was Offered For The Capture Of Osama Bin Laden????

Well word on the curb is nobody will be receiving the 25 milli that was promised because according to the U.S. officials the raid that killed Bin Laden was the result of electronic intelligence, not human informants.
****Blankstare***

“The reason is simple, say officials involved in or knowledgeable about the hunt for the world’s most wanted man: the CIA and the military never had an al Qaeda operative as an informer willing to give him up. Instead, what killed bin Laden was electronic surveillance, and an operational mistake by one of his closest associates. After a slow drip of intelligence year after year, and then a final flurry of data collection and analysis brought a team of SEALs to bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound on a moonless night.”
You know what that’s some Bullsh*t, the U.S. would have to give me something after risking my life going after Bin Laden’s crazy azz.

And I’m not talking about a first of the month check either I need some millions in my bank account after that battle I’m just saying lol…..

[Video] Keri Hilson Covers Whitney Houston at BMI Awards

All eyes were on Keri Hilson earlier this week as she hit up the BMI Awards in a stunning Mirco Giovannin gown. Later, that night she performed Whitney Houston’s power ballad, “I Have Nothing”, as a tribute to songwriter David Foster.

Check out a clip of her performance below:

T-Pain Has Fallen For Ke$ha

They say a picture is worth a thousands words and I’m pretty sure these two could round up more than that. T-Pain & Ke$ha were spotted living the life in Las Vegas. They met at last weekends Wango Tango event before T-Pain went into ‘local stalker’ mode and followed her to Vega. T-Pain shared his feelings about his new BFF via Twitter.
Last night I found out I’m in love with @Keshasuxx. I’m not saying @Keshasuxx and I had sex or anything I’m just saying I love that “f*ck everybody else” attitude. She dresses how she wants she performs the way she wants, she does HER.
Only a few moments passed before Ke$ha replied,

Um. F*king love u @TPain. U get Me.

T-Pain later tweeted another photo and labeled it K-Pain.

Sidenote: Completely random but whatever happened to that Lil Wayne and T-Pain Supergroup, T-Wayne?

Thanx to Rap-Up

Lil Kim & Ke$ha Cole Beef Over Loyalty Vs. Friendship....

Earlier this week, Keyshia Cole took to her twitter to post her reactions to BET completely snubbing her for this year’s BET Awards before she turned her attention to Lil Kim.
To catch you up to speed, last year when Keyshia Cole released “I Ain’t Thru”, Lil Kim and her fans were upset at Keyshia for allowing Nicki Minaj to diss Lil Kim on the track, especially since Lil Kim and Keyshia had worked together in the past.   In somewhat of a late response, Keyshia Cole posted today:
[And] while we’re addressing everything, Lil Kim and I a r not “friends” I take that term very seriously. We made wonderful music. That is it.
Lil Kim in response tweeted:
You got that right. We are not friends. The same way you take friendship seriously I take loyalty serious. The whole world has seen me extend my hand to you over and over again. Only someone who’s trying to build a sincere relationship does shows for free and supports. You did not pay me a dime for none of that. That warrants some type of loyalty and respect. Friend or no friend, I would have never let anybody disrespect you on my record but I can’t expect everyone to be as real as I am.
At the end of the day karma is as real as I am and it’s coming to get you. oh wait…if it hasn’t got you already… My love and loyalty to you got you a hit, your friendship with your friend got u a flop.
Looks like you need to choose your friends more wisely don’t you think? Loyalty and respect has nothing to do with friendship. Loyalty and respect is about returning a kindness. Have you ever came out and supported me at my shows? I don’t think so.
Keyshia Cole in response tweeted:
Kim that was a great look for [you] coming out of jail just as it was a great look for Missy to have produced it. All I’m saying is don’t have everyone thinking I was disloyal as a “friend” cause we were never that and you know it. No disrespect.

And in response Lil Kim tweeted:
Yes it was a good look for me but it was a great look for you. At the end of the day it was a hit on YOUR album
Sticking to the situation. Again I would have never let anyone disrespect you on my song. That’s loyalty and respect. End of story.
To which Keyshia Responded:
I don’t have beef with anyone. I’m done. I feel the way I feel about friendship and loyalty. I ain’t never been fake. All I’m saying.
Kim’s “I’m gonna erase their social security number” rant she went on towards Keyshia and Nicki earlier in the year made it seem as though she was losing her mind but I’m glad she was able to articulate her issues a little bit better over twitter. It allowed people to understand where she is coming from, however Kim should know more than anyone that loyalty is hard to come by in this business and everyone is not your friend.

Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard Admits To Being Molested By Trainer

In his new autobiography “The Big Fight: My Life In and Out of the Ring”, due out next month boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard opened up about his cocaine habit, growing up in a home with alcohol abuse and domestic violence, surviving a car crash, & being sexually abused by his former trainer…

In one part of the book Leonard writes about being sexually abused by a “prominent Olympic boxing coach,” on multiple occasions, and even talked about a time when his coach had him take a bath in a tub of hot water and Epsom salts while he sat on the side of the bathroom watch.

Sugar Ray Lenord reveals publicly for the first time that he was sexually abused as a young fighter by an unnamed “prominent Olympic boxing coach.” He was accompanied him as a 15-year-old and another young fighter to a boxing event in Utica, N.Y., in 1971, he had the teenagers take a bath in a tub of hot water and Epsom salts while he sat on the other side of the bathroom. They suspected “something a bit inappropriate” was occurring but did not want to question a strong male authority figure.”
“Several years later, Leonard describes sitting in a car in a deserted parking lot across from a recreation center, listening intently as the same coach, said to be in his late 40s, explained how much a gold medal at the 1976 Olympics would mean to his future.”
“He was flattered, filled with hope, as any young athlete would be. But he writes: “Before I knew it, he had unzipped my pants and put his hand, then mouth, on an area that has haunted me for life. I didn’t scream. I didn’t look at him. I just opened the door and ran.”
Sugar Ray also stated that it was hard to tell this story but after watching an episode of Oprah he decided to tell his story:
“Last year, after watching the actor Todd Bridges bare his soul on Oprah’s show about how he was sexually abused as a kid, I realized I would never be free unless I revealed the whole truth, no matter how much it hurt.”

… Jilted Bride Attempts Suicide in Wedding Gown [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

I wonder what could have given women the thought that geographical location changes the relationship mentality of a man...LMAO....

Am not sure how many of you guys have heard of all that mumbo-jumbo about Asian men being so different...you know, honest and caring and sincere when it concerns relationship matters...… crap!

The air in China doesn’t breed a different type of mate, in fact, they are just as prone to effin’ up as any other race...broda's will ever be brodas...wether in Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan or even right here in Naija!..lolzzzz

Case in point… This Chinese woman’s man literally sent her over the edge!
Details below:
Hhmp! Wouldn’t be my sis..certainly...! She should've push his no good “A”zz off a building than jump…#just say#

A Chinese woman was rescued earlier this morning as she attempted to jump from a seven-story building wearing her wedding gown.

The 22-year-old woman, identified only as “Miss Li” was thwarted in her efforts after she was grappeb by a local community officer.

According to local media, the woman was distraught after her boyfriend of four years broke up with her, just as they were making plans to get married.

“Miss Li”, who is also a college student, sobbed uncontrollably and swung her legs out the window for about an hour before police officers arrived.

She said she wanted to end it all and could not live with the fact her no good fiancé had left her and married another woman just days before their planned wedding. (source)

Fortunately “Miss Li” did not sustain any injuries during the incident, which was also caught on video.
The moral of this story? For one… don’t jump out of a building in your good wedding dress!

Shoot… in my opinion ole boy did “Miss Li” a favor!

She better hang up that wedding gown, dust off her freak ‘em dress, throw on some heels and go “twirling’
Just ask Bey!
