The Wife of Noble Character

Are you a Noble Wife?
A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
Her Husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

She selects wool and flax
and works with earger hands.
She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
She gets up while it is still dark;
She provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.

She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earings she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among elders of the land.

She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her
"Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be
praised.
Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

My Trip to Madame Tussauds NYC

With Oprah
So I lived in New York for Five years but did very little touring of Manhattan. So these days whenever am home for a visit, I take it upon myself to visit nice places in and around Manhattan. I was home in New York for Christmas and the New Year so decided to go somewhere indoors to stay away from the freezing rain and Madame Tussauds was just a perfect place for the rainy day. I took so many pictures with waxed celebrities but I'll share just one for now.

For those who haven't heard much about M.T. Here's a 101 lecture for you:
Madame Tussauds is a famous wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities. It was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madame_Tussauds#Others for the rest of the lecture.

Faces of Nollywood

Corny as some of nollywood movies are, we still have to applaud the industry for coming thus far. It's risen to become the third largest film industry in the world.
Wikipedia puts it this way: The cinema of Nigeria is a developing industry that has become increasingly productive in recent years. Although Nigerian films have been produced since the 1960s, the rise of digital cinema has resulted in a growing video film industry. The Nigerian video feature film industry is sometimes colloquially known as Nollywood. The term is of uncertain date and origin, but is derived from Hollywood in the same manner as Bollywood.

Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nollywood for the complete gist.
Here are some of the popular nollywood faces:

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

Kate Henshaw-Nuttall

Ini Edo

New Year's Eve and Jan 1st, 2008

Happy New Year to All
I hope that you all were able to accomplish all the goals you set for yourselves last year. Well, not to worry, you still have a lot to thank God for.... atleast you made it through to 2008. My advice to all is that you set some realistic goals that you know can be accomplished this year. It doesn't have to be something big; but something measureable within a short pace of time. The key to a fulfilling life is putting God first and having a postive attitude towards life. God bless you as you kick off a brand new year.
<--As always, God is Love; Keep God 1st-->

Here are some random pics of my New Year's Eve at NYC & Time Square.

It was a hell of an experience.... people waiting in freezing cold temperature for 8-12hrs just to usher in the new year. Imagine what we went through being crowded in, inhaling 2nd hand smoke, freezing to death, people farting every second, shoving and cursing here and there.
Hmmn, all I can say is that it was a crazy fun experience and that I'll never jeopardize my health again, in what I believe is just a hype.

The temperature was about 34*F.
